Baby Einstein: Baby Galileo (DVD, 2003)

My 5 and almost 2 year old love it. It's educational and entertaining. I love the music, too. It's great for some downtime and makes it easy for me to cook dinner in the evening!

My 9 month old laughs out loud at the puppets. I can't wait until he can talk his first words will probably be the planets. I agree that TV is bad for kids but not educational media done in a controlled environment. I have 2 other children who watched educational movies as toddlers and they turned out just fine. No ADD or ADHD. Some people just feel the need to take things to an extreme I guess. Anyway my son loves this Baby Einstein DVD!!

Great tool to get children interested in learning. I bought this because I have other Baby E. movies and my daughter is hooked on them. GREAT PRODUCT!

i love this dvd. so does my baby and my 6 and 7 year old. very entertaining, eductational and i love the music accomponied through out the entire dvd. great purchase on my part

The name "Baby Einstein" can lull you into thinking it's okay or even good for babies to watch t.v., but the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no television AT ALL to children under 2 because so many studies have proven its harmful effects on children. Studies have shown that:

- for every hour of television a baby watches a day, their chances of acquiring an attention deficit disorder increases by 10%.
- among babies ages 8 months to 16 months, every hour spent daily watching programs such as 'Brainy Baby' or 'Baby Einstein' translated into six to eight fewer words in their vocabularies as compared with other children their age."
- brain wave activity in babies is slower when watching television than when sleeping.

"Signing Time" (Two Little Hands Productions) DVDs is an excellent option for OCCASIONAL video viewing because communicating in sign language with your child is proven to:

- reduce frustration and tantrums
- accelerate language development
- promote parent-child bonding

Last thing for new moms - carrying newborn babies (in arms or next to body) an extra 3 hours a day resulted in 40% less crying. So carrying baby in a carrier or sling can help calm fussy babies!

I think besides Baby Neptune, this one is my favorite. I love how they teach the science of the stars with toys an set to classical music. I find it amazing how i even get tranced by these shows LOL

I bought this addition to the Baby Einstein series because my child enjoyed the previous ones. However, the graphics on this particular video were not as interesting, and the Baby Kangaroo releases helium balloons throught the story which distressed my child repeatedly.

I really love this DVD for winding the kids down. I let me daughter watch this at nap time and the calming music really relaxes her. This DVD is perfect for bedtime, nap time or just to sit down a wind down time. I love baby Einstein products and highly recommend them to all. I just wish I would have thought of the idea.

I know that Baby Einstein came under fire recently for apparently advertising false promises. However, my son had a couple of Baby Einstein videos, one with Beethoven, One with Bach and the Baby Galileo which I just reordered for my nephew who is turning 8 months. My son is now 5 and has a huge appreciation of music which I credit to his early exposure to the visuals and music on these videos. They are great and babies are mesmerized by the colorful images. Well worth the money.

Good quality, the dvd is a big hit, and even though this is not exactly educational it is very good stimulus for a young growing mind.

The video came fast to my house, it was packaged well and it was exactly as advertised... my daughter loved it.

I never recieved the dvd that I ordered!!!!!i am very disappointed, I was getting the dvd for my daugther. I tried to reach the seller but they took themselves off of ebay. I payed through paypal and I cannot get my money back,

Cute video for my granddaughter especially now that I will be retiring from my position as a schoolteacher to care for her full time.

This DVD is awesome. I was a little reluctant to order a used DVD but it was in perfect shape...didn't include the dvd case however! My little boy is 9 months old and LOVES Baby Einstein! Seller was great as we received the DVD within days of the purchase!!!

These Baby Einstein tapes are GREAT. Baby Galileo is a very good tape for little ones. I bought it for my Grand Daughter who's 17 months. She sits and watches the whole thing. It keeps her attention very well. I think all little ones should have this tape.

What a great product for all babies! Everyone should use this product to help elevate their kids minds1

Very good format on this DVD. My daughter loves the baby kangaroo, Galileo. Very clear description and labeling within the movie. Shows baby very clearly the difference between Sun, Moon, Stars, Clouds and Planets. Very pretty images. Only a 30 minute run time, but thats just about as long as a baby will sit still to watch a movie anyway.

Great video to keep your baby entertained for at least 30 minutes while you get stuff done around the house. This particular video is not a favorite of my son's but he still watches it if I pop it in.

The video is relaxing and the grand kids seem to like it. The babies 3 and under enjoy this video much more than the older ones. It calms them and they seem to enjoy the peaceful music throughout the video. Sometimes they watch the screen but mostly they like the music.

This is a wonderful DVD for you baby or toddler. All Einstein DVD's are great products. A little video in a small interval to view with your child.

I like the music and colors, they keep the babies attention. I love it because, they learn from it really quick. I don't like the fact that this particular DVD is a little hard for them to understand compared to the other Baby Einstien learning DVD's

This is a DVD I can sit and watch with my daughter. I'm not sure how much a real young baby will get out of it, but it's a good tool for getting my busy toddler to settle down every now and then. She loves it!
