Pretty disappointed, I like other Baby Einstein way better. Daughter lost interest right away. The music is very mild and the characters movements don't even follow the music. So I wonder where the educational part comes in... we could get the same by listening to a cd.
I bought this because I wanted to see if it could really entertain a baby just a few month old....and guess what it does! I was a bit shocked to see my 4 month old would sit through the entire thing.....watching and showing excitement at the music and images.
I bought this DVD for my 8 month old Grandson whom I watch 3 days a week. I read to him, play with him and now watch Baby Einsteien with him too! There's a ton of visual stimulation and fun sounds that keep us both interested. I like that no certain image is left on the screen for too long; therefore creating boredom. The timing is just right for him at this age.
My baby loves to watch baby Einstein videos and I enjoy watching them as well! We already have the baby Bach and baby Mozart and I've seen the baby Beethoven on youtube. My baby is 13 months old and I plan to collect every baby Einstein video out there. Highly recommended!
This is a great movie for babies; if your child likes baby einstein, they will like this. The seller of this movie to me, in my opinion, is GREAT to work with! Fast, easiest, clear-cut transaction. Good communication A+++++
I decided to buy this DVD for my 6 month old daughter because several of my friend's children have absolutely loved it. My daughter loved it as well. She would just sit and stair at the tv watching all of the colors and listening to the music. As for me, it was very boring to watch, but it's a great DVD for my daughter and I hope to purchase more Baby Einstein DVDs for her.
My child is 3 mos. old and she is okay with this dvd but loves to watch Veggie Tales even more. Her attention was diverted roughly every 2-3 minutes b/c some images were subtle colors some were bright and my child loves bright. Veggie tales provides words too along with music and a good Christian value behind it. Einstein okay ! Veggie is better !
I need something to occupy my 8 month old baby for just a little while so that I can get ready in the morning. This keeps his attention with all of the bright colors and fun music
this video was sub-par. My 7 month old daughter did not really enjoy it at all. I don't know why because she loved Mozart and Bach. Everytime she watched it she cried. So it's not as good as some of the others but i guess thats the way it goes sometimes.
I love this video. I have been wodering if babies would really like the baby einsteins video and would get their attention. My baby doesn't like watching too much tv, she just want to bother me all the time that I can't do anything in house chores. But yet, this video got her attention and she's watching it now by herself. Now, I can work on my chores.
Bought it because it was advertised as new, but then received an e-mail from the seller that it wasn't new, and I could cancel or agree to a used copy for $1 less. Used copy played good at first, but now it is sometimes freezing or the picture is stopping.
The name "Baby Einstein" can lull you into thinking it's okay or even good for babies to watch t.v., but the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no television AT ALL to children under 2 because so many studies have proven its harmful effects on children. Studies have shown that:
- for every hour of television a baby watches a day, their chances of acquiring an attention deficit disorder increases by 10%. - among babies ages 8 months to 16 months, every hour spent daily watching programs such as 'Brainy Baby' or 'Baby Einstein' translated into six to eight fewer words in their vocabularies as compared with other children their age." - brain wave activity in babies is slower when watching television than when sleeping.
"Signing Time" (Two Little Hands Productions) DVDs is an option for occasional video viewing because communicating in sign language with your child is proven to:
- reduce frustration and tantrums - accelerate language development - promote parent-child bonding
Last thing for new moms - carrying newborn babies (in arms or next to body) an extra 3 hours a day resulted in 40% less crying. So carrying baby in a carrier or sling can help calm fussy babies!
I purchased 5 Baby Einstein DVD's for my two great grandsons because I heard they were great for the development of little minds. I did not get to watch the DVD's before passing them on. My grand-daughter, (the boys mother), did tell me the DVD's were good and the boys do watch them and like watching them.
This is the first DVD I purchased for my 3 month old son to watch. I had heard that babies love them but I was skeptical at first, but he loved it! I am purchasing the others because he loved the music and most of all the lights and movement.
Bought this DVD for a new Mom -- baby was 5 months -- seemed to love it a lot! Music was soothing for the Mom also -- good background DVD -- kept on while doing other things even when baby was not in attendance! Would recommend any of the BE to anyone with children!
I love these DVD's for infants/toddlers. I am just amazed at how well it keeps their attention. I had just about all of the VHS, but got rid of my VCR so I am gradually wanting to buy the DVD's but do not want to pay retail price for them. I always recommend them to new parents. THEY ARE GREAT!
P.S. I'm a day care provider and have a 5 year old that loved them when he was a baby!
You gotta get these for your small babies and toddlers. Great to learn language skills, classical music, painting of the great artists and much more!!! Why is kindergarten obselete? Because Baby Einstein has found a way to teach all the Kinder skills at a much younger age. My kid begs to watch these at least 3 times a day! If you're going to use DVD's to entertain your kid, this is the ultimate solution! Education and entertainment! I ordered all 22 for $50!! That's an Ebay bargain....
