BUSlink (UII-160) 160 GB USB 2.0 Hard Drive

Bought this (by today's size capacity) smallish hard drive to upgrade an older PC (Windows XP) and I was not disappointed. Unit was recognized as soon as I plugged it in and has operated trouble free for the past 2 weeks. At $31.00 including shipping, it was hard not to pass this one up although `I was unfamiliar with the BUSlink name/quality. My only minor gripe is that it doesn't "spin down" when not in use for a while-unlike my Seagate and Western Digital drives. I am slightly concerned for it's longevity due to this shortcoming-as well as energy savings (I did try to activate a power down after a period of non use from it's Windows interface but I couldn;t find anything). Bottom line-if you're looking to upgrade an older PC at a bargain price, this unit just might be your ticket-just don't pay too much !!
