The character of Alan Partridge was invented by Steve Coogan (24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE), and carefully sculpted by Coogan and his co-writers Armando Iannucci and Patrick Marber (CLOSER).


LITTLE BRITAIN: THE COMPLETE FIRST SERIES: An odd, distinctly British sketch show, LITTLE BRITAIN rose to become one of the most popular comedy shows in its native U.K. Starring Matt Lucas and David Walliams in a variety of guises, each sketch features a unique take on the minutiae of British life.


THE OFFICE: THE COMPLETE FIRST SERIES: When the Wernham Hogg paper merchants needed someone to come in and shape up their office, they found the man who definitely thinks he is the most capable candidate in David Brent (Ricky Gervais). Brent rules a tight ship, but at the same time tries to be every employee's best friend. Brent is the centerpiece for this brilliant satire of 9-to-5 office life. Camera crews follow Brent and his employees around in this British series, which uses no laugh track--and doesn't need one.


THE OFFICE: THE COMPLETE SECOND SERIES: David Brent (Ricky Gervais) is up to the same old sorry tricks in the second season of the BBC's masterly comedy series, THE OFFICE. Unfortunately for David, his company has merged, and coworker Neil (Patrick Baladi) is now his boss. Nonetheless, David retains his hopelessly "cheery" demeanor in order to stay pals with Tim (Martin Freeman), Gareth (Mackenzie Crook), and Lucy (Dawn Tinsley), who see through his pathetic facade.


THE OFFICE SPECIAL: With David Brent (Ricky Gervais) receiving his marching orders at the end of THE OFFICE's second season, this two-part special shines a light on what happened to Brent in his post-paper merchant career.


THE YOUNG ONES - EVERY STOOPID EPISODE: This British comedy series is an irreverent look at youth that gained a huge cult following in England and abroad. Rik Mayall's inspired comic invention benefits from surreal, unusual writing and hilarious, spontaneous performances. This collections contains every episode of the beloved program, which ran on the BBC from 1982 to 1984. The series features music by bands of the era such as Madness and Motorhead, as well as excellent guest performances from then-unknown comediennes Jennifer Saunders and Emma Thompson.
