I am a practicing Herbalist in Arizona. I have long been looking for a diagnostic tool that is holistic in its approach and does not require gadgets and gizmos! Well, God bless Dr. Vassant Lad who in simplest language possible has put together so many ways to look at our body and learn about simple ways of caring for it. IN MY OWN PRACTICE (www.shaman19.com) I ADVOCATE AND TEACH ABOUT SIMPLE HEALTH AND NATURAL APPROACHES.
Our bodies were made to regenerate and fight intruders, our humanity as a whole has unfortunately pretty much forgotten about our ancient wisdoms and has come to rely on chemicals to add to an already perfect system, thereby rendering it malfunctioning.

) This is such a great book for foundational information in Ayurveda. I have a few copies of it to give as gifts to friends and relatives so that they have some idea what I'm spending my life doing and at the same time they can take better care of themselves after reading it.

) For anyone interested in learning the foundation of Ayurveda, this is a great book to start with. Dr Lad is the best. He has written several texts and is credited with bringing this form of health care to the US. In this book he was able to explain concepts the general public is able to relate to by including helpful illustrations.
