Axe of the Dwarvish Lords by Skip Williams (1999, Paperback)

great adventure an item form the very beginning of my D&D experience 34 years ago now, updated to the 2.5e, starting with a wedding, ending with a massive battle and all centreed around the great weapon. reminds me of a very earl OD&D game I had where we were battle some huge demonic force and i asked then then dwarf what was his main weapon, he looked over his toon sheet and said mace of cuthbert, so I said so what you got in your off hand, he again looked and said the axe of the dwavish lords ~ somehow he had managed to accumulate both without anyone realising it (artifacts were rare even back then but to own and use two at once was quite unheard of) while nothing similair in thie updated and quite rule based game its still a great adventure and way to get the axe back into the game,
