Avatar: The Last Airbender - Book 1: Water - Vol. 1 (DVD, 2006)

When I first heard of the new show on Nick and saw the preview, my first honest reaction was "you've GOT to be kidding me. They'll put ANYTHING on tv!" And then, by total accident, I found myself watching one of the episodes. Love at first sight.

So I got on eBay and bought the first 4 episodes (volume 1) and it's definitely a favourite!! I'm really into anime anyways, and Avatar is so like it, I feel right at home ^_^ The action sequences are great, I love the use of martial arts and the elements, and they put emotion into the series, but not enough to make you cringe ^_^ Girly as I may be, I'm NOT a sob story fan.

So, A+ from me!! I can't wait to see the rest of the series!!

I'm a big fan of the Avatar series and wanted to collect all the DVDs. I was debating on getting the box sets for each season, but I really enjoyed the box art for the individual episodes of Book 1: Water.

I bought the individual disks for Books 1 and 2 from varying sellers, and ended up getting them all for just over the price of one box set! Plus some of the individual discs come with cards, comics, or games which you don't get in the box sets. So if you've got the patience (and shelf space) to pick them up one by one, that's the way to go!

Not only do my kids love it but that shaggy hairy bison thingy is my fav yeti type Chewbacca impersonator ever. And now I have discovered Avatar the TCG (like Yugioh) but a one on one not monsters x 5 as in Yugioh.
I am a bit unsure of "the last airbender" as a title but maybe it is the translation?

Excellent product. I enjoy watching this series with my sons ages 3 and 5. they love the show and it is an excellent show for little boys for this day and age. It has all the adventurous, action, and excitement for kids of all ages. I enjoy the fact that there is no profanity or indecency of any type in the show. Thanx for good entertainment... DJ

It was a great cd and did not skip. I bought the cd because I have kids who love the avatar. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Our grandson loves The Last Airbender---He now has all of Book 1: Water. He and his father loves to watch it before bedtime. His father is dying of a brain tumor so this is very special to both of them. I was so glad I was able to find this Vol. 1 Water of Avatar: The LastsAirbender. It completes the set for him. I purchased the item for a gift. My granddaughter was delighted with it. The only problem I saw was that I thought I was purchaseing it new and when the item arrived it wasn't sealed.

I love the cartoons and specialy this one, I fell in love the first time I saw it. This cartoon has action and fantasy, what I like the most in cartoons. and I decide to buy it because it was cheeper to buy it in a pack

I believe this is an excelent movie and it take us back to indian and chinesse culture that are two of the ancient civilizations. Great movie and great quality in production.

I buy the tape for my little brother, since he loves avatar. He really enjoy it. When book 2 comes out I hope to buy those for him also.

I watch the series on tv and love the show. Sometimes I dont get to see them when I want to. So the DVD was the perfect thing for me, there are no commercials,and I love to watch the extras that come with it.

My children love the Avatar show. It is cool to be able to buy the series in DVD form. The show is safe for kids to watch, encourages helping your friends and loyalty and problem solving. Love the Avatar!!

We have watched nearly every avatar in the series and loved every episode.It has great adventure and alot of comedy for the whole family to enjoy. It keeps the family together and it's very wholesome. It teaches good morals for young and old!We greatly recommend the whole series.
