The Autumn Effect by 10 Years (CD, Aug-2005, Republic Records)

This band is killer. One of the few cd's that you can listen to, from beginning to end, without seeking the instant gratification provided only by the fast forward or the "Next button", like Red Hot Chili Pepper's Blood Sugar Sex Magik album, or Rage Against the Machine's self titled album. This CD is one of the most awesome I've ever heard. It grabbed me by both ears as soon as I started listening to it. Not many albums become an instant hit with me but this one did. It holds your interest from start to finish and I can't pick just one song as a favorite. The vocals are goosebump worthy and I love the way the songs segue from one to the other in a lovely flow. I saw them at Rock On The Range and they were awesome. I can't wait to get their new CD.

This is "real" rock, not manufactured like so many groups such as Disturbed or Nickelback. Some reviewers have said it sounds like Tool, yeah, maybe, but, its the Hard edge that might smell of similarities. I love Tool, but I love 10 years too. These guys will develop a following, this album is that good.

10 Years has produced a great album. A very diverse compilation of songs is only a glimpse of what this group can really show us. Can not wait until the next album, as so many second albums are definitely not as good as the first, but this band has the potential to write and produce more great material.

When I first listened to this CD, I was working, actually installing insulation in a big addition, to some rich guy's house in southern Maine. Now in case it doesn't occur to you, this job sucks, and good tunes help to reduce the suck factor.
This one didn't disappoint, and I remember just what I thought approaching the end of the last track, which was something like "I'm so glad TOOL came along and changed the direction of the genre."
I don't think it's an accident, the similarity but this band seems to have a little more rigid structure and direction, while the lyrics are more straight-forward but no less cerebral.
I'm a tough critic, but since the first time I heard this CD it's been a "must have" with me.
I've even lost my first CD of this, and I immediately bought another one.
With ME, that's about a 1 in 50 chance I'll like a CD I buy, "that much"

The CD, has a modern sound and the lyrics are very well written and performed. My favorite song is "Wasteland". I would recommend this CD and rate it excellent. (This group is going places!!!)

I love the tempo and the singers voice. Great CD, all the songs are good. If you love rock you will love 10 Years.

i think this cd sounds good, they are a good group. i suggest to anyone that likes rock to buy this cd.....keep up the good work

This band reminds me a lot of Tool, in a good way. I think they are willing to take risks with their music. For that reason, I think they could be really huge in the rock world. After hearing this album, I hope they are.

I had saw this band in concert and had never heard of them before then.This is the best cd i have ever bought. it never leaves my cd player. I was very satisified with my purchase. The shipping was very quick and the product was in excellent condition.

I didn't really have a favorite band until I bought this cd. It was out of impulse and I recommend it to anyone who wants to explore new bands! EXCELLENT!

i bought this cd, because i saw the band play at x fest 2005. i loved the band, so i had to get the cd. after i bought the cd, i saw the band play live again at a concert called mayday. i got their autographs on the cd cover. this is by far the best cd i own. thank you ebay.
