  Awesome!!
Review created: 08/04/07

Though often dismissed by Asia fans, the John Payne era of Asia created some wonderful music. 2001's AURA, in my opinion, is the best Asia album of ANY era. The musicianship on AURA is as tight as on any album from the band and the songs are simply amazing. Payne and Downes were really gelling well at this point and the music seems to flow naturally without a hitch. The sound is probably best described as adult contemporary/light progressive. As a Christian, I really appreciate the lyrics on many songs, especially "Awake" and "Ready to Go Home". I highly recommend this album to anyone who enjoys great music!
