this unit was purchased because one of the kids finally broke our original that we have had for years and I was going to cannibalize whatever parts I could, it's a bigger heavy unit but it's also durable and versatile

I decided to buy the used Audiovox Portable DVD player for my son so that he could watch DVD's in the car on trips. It has a very clear screen and is easy to use complete with a remote control. It is also very easy to set up in the car and take out for watching in the house. The only downside is that you can't "pause" the DVD and still see the movie where you have paused it. Instead, you have to push "stop" which causes the screen to go black and will resume once you hit "start". This would certainly not be a deterrent in any future purchases of another Audiovox portable DVD player.

the portable dvd player is great for the kids in the van. it keeps them quite will i concentrate on driving. the down part of this portable dvd player is the big bulky bag on the back of the seat, looks cluttered. the recent purchase of dvd player was due to my old one not working.

I checked out what other people had said about this and decided to get one for my grandson while we are in the car traveling. It is simply awesome, nice picture quality, sound and you can detach the monitor and strap it onto the back of the front seat while the other part is right next to you and you can man the buttons while driving down the road. Its so easy to use. I am glad I bought it. I have absolutely NO dislikes.

I love that it offers additional viewing of videos for my children, in the car, while we are on trips. One child can watch a DVD and the other a VHS tape. No arguments in the car! We still have not figured out how to get both video screens to watch VHS tapes at the same time, so far the new one can only show DVD's and the old one that came with the set up plays both DVD and VHS, but we have not read the manual fully. We decided to buy this product because we take many car trips to grandma's house and it keeps the car VERY quiet for me and my husband so we can have a Conversation!!! Yea! Really enjoy this item's versatility.
