I have been recently been diagnosed with diabetes. After seeing my physician I came home and scanned the web. I found alot of info but it was not enough. I was able to pick up bits and pieces. I saw this book on line and bid. When it came it had everything that I was looking for! It discusses in depth the disease itself. It tells you what you can expect and what you can do to delay or prevent problems. The best thing that I liked was the menus...pages and pages of actual meal plans. I looked over these and made my own meal plans! It is a fantastic source of answers that someone faced with diabetes should have. Actually it is a must-have!!

I believe EVERYONE...I MEAN EVERYONE should read this book, especially if your a little older & fighting a little sparetire syndrome!!!! It will open your eyes to the fact that even the medical community gets it wrong sometimes.
I have changed my eating habits & bought a bowflex machine, & in just three weeks have seen a marked improvment in my blood sugar levels. I am now down below 100 almost every morning. I'm winning!!!!

I needed to loose weight and have not tried this diet geared for Diabetics. So I decided to try it. What I love about this book is the 30 day meal planner with a different menu for each day. It gives me a better variety of foods and mix of foods that I can eat. Most of the foods are something we would normally eat anyway with just a little variation to stay with the diet.

being that i was pre-diabetic and saw this book on e-bay, it was the answer to my diet needs. also, my husband was going in for surgery and the day i was
taking him to the hospital, i stopped to pick up the mail and lo and behold
the book was in the mail just when i needed it, i was able to read it during the wait for my husband to get out of surgery and when he was sleeping afterward. it came in the nick of time. also, i priced it at borders and it was expensive. this seller put it up for a good price and fast shipping.
i am putting this seller on my list of favorites. also, the book is excellent in the format of putting all current info as far as the glycemic levels of food and how to use it.
