Atari Flashback 2

The flashback system sure is affordable and convenient to play. No having to switch cartridges for example. ask yourself though, why are you buying a flashback system? Well, it is in the name. you want to have a flashback of your childhood memories. You will get those from the flashback system but if you want the real flashback then you should buy a real vintage atari 2600 system.

They are very affordable on ebay and you get the true childhood experience over again! Selecting cartridges and inserting them manually is half the fun!! You will soon have the itch to add to your collection of games and find that you have to get a bigger shoe box so you can expand your collection. That is where it is at!!!! Stick to the original console for the true flashback!!!!

I bought this little console for the cartridge conversion. Which should be happening real soon. It really has 42 built in games instead of 40 if you know the secret code ;) Plus it is built on genuine atari 2600 chipset therefore making the conversion super-easy. Now for the dremel.........

I bought this game system for my sons 14th birthday. He has every game system I can think of: all the Playstations, Nintendos, and X-Box. He told me that he likes this one best and plays it most often. Go figure, the least expensive would be such a big hit.

Well, the console looks in great look. Kids WILL not enjoy it because they live in a air of revolution and of technology. Some of them already own a Playstation 3, a X-Box 360 or a Nintendo Wii so why would they buy this? The only reason a person would like to have one it is because he collection old game or the person is weird in some way. But I like old games and new ones so that's why it would be fun to have one just to laugh a bit with friend because you OWN a Atari Flash2 console system... maybe too old but still works!
The question is... WHY not having one? If you had fun with it in old times you can still have fun in our times. That's my review hope it will help all of you.

Make no mistake about my review, I think you get exactly what Atari promises, any dis-satisfaction won't be their fault.
The thought of playing those old school games is great, those memories of your childhood, a time long ago......Don't let "the good old days" fool you. Yes the games are the same ones, the controllers look the same, and the console does look similar. The controllers feel very cheap, much much lighter than the originals, the console itself is small, light, and screams "low cost". This no doubt due to the evolution of technology, even though it works perfect, my first though when I touch it is: cheap. If you love old school, this is as old as you can get without getting an original 2600. Be warned, if you are buying it because of nastalga, it won't take long to remember why you didn't have to have a 2600 five years ago.
It's like parking you new car, and buying a '71 Pinto because of all the good times you had with yours. It won't take long before you remember why you sold you Pinto in the first place.
My kids wanted this, and since they saved their own money, they got it. I hooked it up to test it, it works, and that is they only contact I needed.
I'm sure it will joint the other "have to get" obsolete systems box very quickly.
Move over N64, make room Sega Dreamcast, get out of the way PS1, there is a new "old" game in town.
It is exactly the same, yet totally different.
It delivers on all it's promises, any disappontments, aren't because of the system, it's because we remember things were greater than they really.

This Atari System was as described and it works fine. I haven't gotten through the 30 games yet but all is working well.

I purchased the Atari Flashback 2 last week and recieved it early the following week. I was very impressed at the quality of the games it has on it. My wife loves it. Just like the good ol days. I would recommend the Atari Flashback 2 to anyone who likes the games they games they grew up with. I look forward to purchasing things from you in the future.

The product is just as advertised. It is fun for adults to remember the "old days" as well as for young children.

I got the game system for my sister for her birthday. She had the original atari and I knew she would like this. It's great 40 games in one console. Just plug it in, turn it on and have fun.

Have wanted an Atari since I started getting old...lol. Had one when I was a kid. I really am enjoying the Game.

I love my purchase. I'm old school and like the older games instead of Nintendos. It's the best purchase that I have had so far.

I got this for my dad for christmas he plays it daily. Great product if you are a retro game fan. Only thing I didn't care for is the one I bought had no direction so it took a little bit to figure it out.

I have worn my fingers out since receiving this blast from the past.
And the seller had the item in my hands in two days.

I bought this to bring back memories of my childhood and to introduce my kids to the things we used to do. I especially loved River Raid as a kid. Still my favorite!! The only thing I wish they had done differently with this game would be to make it possible to purchase an expansion cartridge with even more games. It is much easier to use now that they have places on the front of TVs, VCRs, and DVD players to plug in games. A+ for easy set-up.

I love this system. It has all my favorite classic Atari Games built right in. No cartridges to hunt for and buy or exchage when you want to play something different. The joysticks have the original Atari feel and make gameplay more enjoyable.

I loved that the system brought back the classic atari look and controller. It has a slightly counter-intuitive menu system, but beyond that is a fun and simple way to play classic video games. I would advise anyone who seeks to play vintage games such as pong that this would be a solid purchase. it uses the classic control ports so you can use a sega genesis controller or even commodor 64 control theoretically.

Just like the Atari 2600, same joystick, hey, it has Yars Revenge on it and some other great games. To me it is the best retro deck ever made. The old Sega remote with the same plug will work on it just like the original did if you do not like the Atari joystick. Sell shipped fast and did a great packing job. Thanks.

I love the price of this item! it works amazingly well! it had easy install and had many games to chose from. It also came with everything needed to be setup unlike many other consoles sold on the internet! it had fast shipping!!

The console didn't work as instructed. It stated that it came in color but it only works in black and white. Otherwise, everything else was ok.
