Right from the very first chapter this book held me captive. I have read all his books to date and I am sure this will be the best yet.

The AssociateI read all of John Grisham's books. In this book, I was happy to see him return to the suspenseful plots of his earlier books. While the suspense was captivating, I also appreciated his giving another lesson about how people are manipulated these days by those in power.

Typical Grisham, Not His BestThe Associate is the usual Grishamm read but not engrossing as some of his earlier works. As a Pennsylvanian I did find a minor error. Rifle deer season is after Thanksgiving. Archery deer season is before Thanksgiving.
The Associate and his last two, The Appeal and Playing for Pizza, do not have the compelling story plot as his earleir novels namely The Chamber and The Client.

This is a great book by John Grisham. While by far not one of his best books, that title is still held by a time to kill, it is classic grisham. While grisham has dipped his toes recently in to spy and intel areas, he as adapted them very well into his bread and butter legal thrillers. I would recommend this novel to any interested in legal thrillers

Excellent as usualJohn Grisham is my favorite author. His books are always entertaining. The associate looks at a different aspect of the legal system. I heartily recommend it. It's a page turner.

Anything written by John Grisham is excellent reading! You will be unlikely to be able to put this fast paced legal book down until finished. When finished you will be looking to read another of his books. I own this book but wanted to purchase a copy to give away.

The AssociateIf you have enjoyed John Grisham's other books, you are going to love this one! This book keeps your interest until the very end. I was unable to put this book down and often stayed up all hours of the night reading it. The Associate is well written with many twist and turns. There is plenty of suspense and mystery. This one is a must have!

The Associate is another Grisham's book. He takes you inside the major law offices of the world and gives a great image of day to day life and career for lawyers. Grisham, being a lawyer himself, never like lawyers and has a great time describing the main characters life. In true Grisham fashion, the story takes place with high powered attorneys working hard to screw every penny out of their clients with a threatening life and death situation lingering in the background.
Without giving much away, the book does have a rather subtle ending. In typical Grisham books he leaves you hanging to the last word on the last page only to be amazed at the ending. The Associates ending did come as a surprise, but you also felt a little left out on major details. Despite the ending, the book is a must read!
