The Associate (DVD, 1999)

I found this movie to be funny as well as creative. She has been passed up for promotion several times that she decides to take matters into her own hands. To launch her own financial company, she creates a pseudo man and the market goes roaring after this guy and want to meet him. She was able to get past a few, but it was getting harder and harder. She goes to her friends and family and they make a mask for her - after trial and error, they finally create one. It is a charmer! An african american woman passes as a caucasian old man! This is in my favorite collection of Whoopi Goldberg movies.

Great story, good acting, and quite funny. Whoppie plays the role of a woman trying to make her way in a male dominated industry.

I love Whoopi Goldberg movies, and have gone to local stores like Best Buy, and WalMart, and checked online at Amazon, but found NOTHING like this deal! New DVDs, The Associate-1999, and Jumping Jack Flash-1986, for $4.01 and $4.30 respectively!! Wow, can't touch that price for ANY movie on Amazon--and now I don't have to watch my old, tired movies on my "dinosaur" VHS player. I will buy exclusively from Ebay in the future--promise.

My wife really enjoys this movie and whenever is shows on a movie channel or TV station she takes the time to watch. Now she can watch whenever she wants.

Bought this because I am a great Whoopie Goldberg fan. This movie shows another side of Whoopie. Clever plot. Diane Weiss is ausome also.
