Don't believe the hype!

I've heard a lot about this game before I bought it and a lot of it was true: the graphics are pretty cool, and the concept is (at times) interesting. But that's about all that I could really find good about this game. The difficulties in this game don't lie in the battles themselves, but in annoying little obstacles that require more patience than skill to overcome. Luckily, there is an unlimited numbers of "lives" given because most of in-game deaths come from silly things like repeatedly trying to jump over a sewer grate without dying. As the game progresses, the character learns cool new skills but they are never really necessary because the enemies are so weak that simple X-button mashing can kill almost every one of them. Also, skills and special objects often disappear between levels, and some of the skills aren't available when you want them to be-only when the game allows you to use them. The grappling hook was really limited in this respect. Additionally, not only does this game completely lose it's re-play appeal once you finish it, but the ending is totally unsatisfying. It's as if the whole reason gameloft made this game was to set you up to buy the obviously up-coming sequel. I'm am not an expert gamer, but even with my limited skill I finished this game in a few hours. Don't waste your time or money on this game unless you are just a really big fan of good graphics and don't care much about gameplay.
