A scientific text book that exposes the drug
I looked for this book for awhile, and I wish I could have found the latest edition. However, it is a good scientific read relating to the discovery and clinical trials of the compound Aspartame. Some passages are dry, and a background in chemistry will be helpful to prospective readers. The most interesting part was related to the toxicology of this compound which is currently accepted as a "food additive". For the people who don't want to slog through hundreds of pages- i'll spoil the ending for you: science proves this compound is poisonous and cumulative. Read the book, and you'll start looking at food labels and thinking twice about what you're eating and drinking. But that's what knowledge is all about, opening your eyes. If you are Phenylketonuric, this book holds all the answers.
