Good CD

"Asleep In The Bread Aisle" is technically Asher Roth's debut album. Although his first professional release was on June 13, 2008 when the DJ Drama and Don Cannon's "The Greenhouse Effect" mixed tape was released for free via Roth’s website. His earliest release was labeled "Believe the Hype" another mixed tape.
I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much from Asher Roth's "Asleep in the Bread Aisle". But it was surprisingly good. I really enjoyed this CD. His rapping sounds a lot like Eminem but the content is much different. His vocals are crisp and clear and his songs are very relate able. His lyrics are extremely witty and clever.
On a side note, with Asher Roth being a white performer in a predominantly black musical genre, Roth is constantly being compared to Eminem, so much so that he addresses it in the Cd, the song is titled "As I Em."
Anyway, I highly recommend this CD.
