Ashes of the Wake is fantastically orginal and contains riffage that will put you in a head lock and rape your earginas to the point of tantalizing pleasure. Anyone who truly loves music has got to respect the talent it took to make this disc and the dedication to all intruments from each member of this band. From the awesomely intriciate percussion and killer crunchy riffs that flinging off to a light yet still speedy metal melody while the bass explodes like a shot gun that shoots similar to a tommy gun. And the vocals are not only deep with content but also sung, growled, muttered, spoken and screamed in a mood setting manner like no other. "Omerta" is the tune on this disc that orginally turned me on to Lamb of god and I recently bought their new disc "Wrath" which by no means let me donw at all. This is a band I expect to be around for a long time. They have done a fantastic job in bringing metal back with a vengance. Good job guys!!

Just another Lamb Of God fan

Awesome, killer band. What can I say about lamb of god other than they brought me back into the heavymetal scene. I even drove 350 miles to see them play with slayer during the '06 unholly alliance tour. Highly Recomended!

Bought this album because I loved the song on Guitar Hero II. That song on there is also the best song on the album but over all this is a very solid hard aggressive album. Recommended for any fan of this type of music.

I BOUGHT THIS CD FOR MY SON. I KNOW NOTHING MORE THAN IT GOT HERE IN RECORD TIME. HOWEVER MY SON HAS ENJOYED THE CD SINCE HE HAS RECEIVED IT, THIS WAS HIS FIRST EXPERIENCE AT TRYING E-BAY TO FIND A CD AND HE WAS IMPRESSED AT HOW THE PRICING WAS SO AFFORDABLE.

This is the pinnacle of Lamb Of God's albums to date. Their others are good, but this one is absolutely one of the finest metal releases of the 2000's. I would recommend this disc to anyone that loves metal. I myself am not a huge fan of "cookie monster" vocals, but the sheer genius behind the music itself more than makes up for D.Randall Blythes inability to sing. From Laid To Rests brutal beginnings, all the way through to Remorse Is For The Dead, you will be amazed by Chris Adler and his drumming technique. Little brother Willie Adler along with Mark Morton, stun you with riff after riff of smoking hot guitar. Not to leave out John Campbell, and his equally stunning bass lines. Being a bass player myself, I know how hard he works to lay down a bass backbone so rigid. The band is downright amazing. I have even grown a little more accustomed to Randy Blythes vocals. This CD has put Lamb Of God right to the top of my favorite metal bands. Buy it, you will not be disappointed.

I heard some other songs on the radio and in the Tony Hawk game, but never any from this album. I picked it up, didnt like it that much at first but it grew on me like nothing else! Hard AND you can understand what he is saying!

Great for hard rock fans looking for something a little harder.

Best songs

Hourglass
Omerta
One Gun

One of my favorite albums.

The groove and raw power of this album are amazing. I can do nothing else then recommend this record 100%. If I would have been the seller I would have sold it with a 200% money back guarantee. (As you will never send it back, believe me)But I will be moshing on this record in 10 years still, so that will never happen. (-:
