Artificial Soldier - Front Line Assembly

The release of Artificial Soldier, by Front Line Assembly in 2006 was a relief to my ears! After not finding any product from Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber here in the states for some time, they both hail from Canada, I was afraid that the Industral Wave of the late 80's and early 90's was over. The driving techno-monster is back with plenty of raw energy to fill the gap since I last heard the group's sonic painting of the rusted cybernetic cityscape. The music pulses like a digital road threading in and out of black towers of steel.
The lead into the first track, Unleashed, is the strongest piece of music I can remember FLA doing in a while. The vocals slide along like razor wire on ice. Track 4, Decsention is a hate rant against all things false, while Track 5, Buried Alive and Track 6, Dopamine talk about the pain in our world and the drug it takes to live through it.
While Track 8, Future Fail is more of an accussation of our assault on the environment, Track 9, The Storm seems to fortell nature's unrelenting power to cleanse everything away, even the pain.
Overall, an excellent addition to any CD library, but especially to lovers of Industrial music.
