The Arthritis Cure by Jason Theodosakis, Sheila Buff (2004, Paperback, Reprint)

I normally don't write reviews, but i felt compelled to write about this book. Being of age 46 and having undergone an ACL reconstruction and a partial meniscotomy last year, I was faced with arthritis (in my knee) for the first time in my life. Talk about being bummed out. I am a soccer coach and an avid skier, and this did not sit well AT ALL with me. I tried the NSAID anti-inflammatory routine, but my doctor also prescribed glucosamine and chondroitin. I was pleased to read all of the statistical data in this book.
I had heard of this book in the past but never thought I would need it. So i bought it and read it cover to cover in two weeks.
I still use the NSAIDS but only on rare occasion as opposed to every day. NSAIDS ARE NOT GOOD FOR YOU as you will read in this book!
After the onset of arthritis, I decided I was not going to let this thing beat me. I followed religiously a lot of the instructions and I am glad to report that my knee is already 50% better and still improving after following this book for two months. You have to believe and stick to the program - it WILL help you.
The one this this book does not go into much detail on is the use of Hyaluron injections, which I am also finding to be helpful. But for the most part this book gives you hope and is very well written with very precise information. Make sure you buy the updated 2004 issue.
