  Poor Fighting game

Poor fighting game. Below average. Could be called Art of Fighting Dinosaurs or everything else. Worse graphic. This game is just for collectors. If you want a fighting game buy a newer version of Art of Fighting.

I recommend "AOF3" in this game!
Review created: 01/06/09

I was lucky to purchase this game with low price (under $5). I wanted to buy this game because I wanted to play "Art of Fighting 2" and "Art of Fighting 3" (this anthology contains 3 games, and I have "Art of Fighting 1" in SNK classics arcade volume 1). I'd like to review 3 games.

If 5/5 (5 is the best satisfaction) is rate of the video games, I'd give 3/5 for "Art of Fighting 1" because even though this game is similar to "Street Fighter 2", it has original system like "Power Energy" and Bonus stages that enhance characters' abilities. However this game has unique systems, it's difficult to play this game (it's not smooth).

For "Art of Fighting 2", I expected "AOF 2" would be a great game like "Fatal Fury 2" or "The King of Fighters 94", but there was no difference between "AOF 1" and this one (except it got more playable characters). In addition, this game is a lot harder than "AOF 1" unless we find out the way AI fights (or pattern) through books or website. If there are people who have never played 2D fighting games (but want to play them), I don't recommend "AOF 2". I'd rate 2.5/5 for this game.

After playing "AOF 2", I was worried to play "Art of Fighting 3", but this one was totally different from previous games and I enjoyed this most. Firstly, the game is a lot smoother and easier to play. Secondly, the graphics of this game are unique because people made this game with motion capture, so it looks different from other 2D fighting games. Thirdly, there are combos in this game, and it's easy to make combos for anybody (even I can do that!)
The only bad thing about this game was it did not bring back a lot of characters from previous (except Ryo Sakazaki and Robert Garcia). I wished this game brought back characters like King, Lee and Eiji from previous games. I'd rate 4/5 for this game.

In conclusion, I'm glad to find a fun game like "AOF3", but I wished people added more games like "Buriki One" and special features like "Training Mode", the animation of "Art of Fighting" or video game trailers. Anyway, if you love playing classic fighting games, there is no problem to purchase this anthology (but buy this game with fair price! ^_^ ).

Great compilation at a terrific price!
Review created: 02/03/08

If you're a fan of the old school fighting game Art of Fighting then this is the game for you. It includes all 3 Art of Fighting games in one great package. Each game is an arcade perfect port from the Neo Geo system. A+

  The Art Is Here

I think this is one of the best collections ever.I know most dont really know the Art of Fighting series but it was by far the best with its huge characters and the zoom in zoom out when you were close or far away. Also one of the few games that showed player damage from the attacks.I hate to see this not on the Neo Geo but still would be a great choice ad fresh to most people.
