Armageddon, By Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins is a thoroughly enjoyable book. Action, adventure, romance and intrigue all pull together to make this teaching on the biblical, “End Times” prophecies palatable for those who are not Christians and informative for those who are Christians.
The “Left Behind” 12 book series works together as a whole. And, while Armageddon is written in a way that it can stand alone, it works much better in context with the other 11 books in the series.
I’m using my copies of the series as sort of a timetable to interpret contemporary world events. While I think this series of books is a dramatization of Biblical Prophecies, it’s more than likely that a great many people who consider themselves to be Christians will be surprised by the subtlety of the reality of the unfolding of prophecy. It won’t be quite as dramatic as these books portray it, in the beginning of the fall. I wouldn’t be surprised if we were already there.
But, I digress. The book Armageddon and the Left Behind Series of books are an incredibly good read. It took me about 6 weeks to read them all. But, I don’t own a T.V. so I have plenty of free time.
Knock knock.
“Who’s there”?
“Jesus! May I come in”?
(Well, don’t you just hate it when that happens?)
“Uhhh, come back later OJ’s on the news”
