This remastered version sounds as good as the album with enhanced dynamics overall plus the 3 added songs make it well worth the cost. If you like the group this is the album you need to buy.

this is what music use to be..twin lead guitars .blended vocals,feeling and melody.time was is a masterpiece in it self....worth a listen definetly..worth owning.....This lp was voted record of the year by rolling stone magazine...

Excellent guitar and vocal harmonies! What a great group. Bonus tracks were not great, but overall - a great piece of work, and excellent order delivery!!!

A Bit of a Disappointment

I am a steadfast classic rock fan. Digging back deeper every year to find the great albums that I missed. Ones that did not chart as well as the other classic rock bands in heavy rotation since the 70's.
From the cover alone I thought this CD would be great. That mysterious iconic figure looking into the distance drew me in. I checked out some 30 second samples of the songs and liked what I heard. Sounded very rich and textured.
When I got the CD and started checking out the songs I was disappointed. The songs seemed to kind of meander along aimlessly. The melodies and the hooks just weren't there. The length of the songs were not jusitified by the lack of changes in dynamic and style.
Maybe it's one of those things were I listened to it on the wrong day and it just didn't hit me right. I will put it in the "listen to a few years later" bin and see if I feel differently.

One of the best albums ever in my opinion. The English rockers sound awesome on this one with plenty of the dual lead guitar dueling and great vocal harmonies they were famous for. Buy it, would also appeal to Eagles and Dire straits afficonados
