Players take on the role of Specialist Ethan Cole, a hazardous biological waste specialist sent to investigate. During his investigation, Cole stumbles across alien creatures and a virus that threatens his very humanity. To save the earth and himself, Cole must fight to solve the enigma of Area 51. Engage in an epic adventure through eight massive sections and battle your way through corridors of Area 51 to discover the secrets of an extraterrestrial menace before it is too late. Features 15 types of human and alien weapons, split-screen and online multiplayer, and creatures designed by Stan Winston Studios.

      Area 51 is a FPS shooter for PS2 that goes beyond modern day. The story starts as you playing the role of Ethan Cole an Area 51 Specialist. When a mass infection breaks out in the compound Cole and his 3 man crew set out to find and destroy the mutatious disease. The game also features Online Play which is really fun. I use to play it for hours. Overall the game is really great with awesome graphics and fun shoot-em-up gameplay. Highly recommended game.

      This game wasn't anything great online. As compared to other online Multiplayer games like Timesplitters Future Perfect. First of all the title is Area-51. It was nothing like what people think of the real Area-51. Shows an alien on the cover.. this game is really misleading. It's a FPS and nothing else. How many FPS games are out their?? Red Revolver, Delta Force, 25 to Life.. on an on.. They used area-51 and aliens to hype it up and not provide. If you want a good online game get Battlefield 2 Modern Combat for PS2 or TSFP if you prefer and older style FPS.
