Riverdale cartoon characters finally became actors

This movie did so great when it was first broadcasted the first Sunday in May '90. The best portrayal in this movie seemed to be Sabrina by Karen Kopins. This is so much more dramatic than watching cartoons like the ones from the Archies. Most of its stars did so well. Jughead was so humorous. Betty and Sabrina had their friendly competition over Archie. In this movie, they both went home w/out a verdict on who Archie was going to select. Was he going to be Sabrina's fifth husband. It's worth seeing how cartoon characters will turn one when they are performed by actors

  Archie: Return to Riverdale

I bought this film to replace one which got damaged.

What I like about it was the way it carried the comic-book characters' lives forward ten years from the permanent high-school milieu of the comics. The use of live actors rather than cartooms made this mmore believable. The actors themselves (with one deliberate exception) were chosen to resemble their characters, something other comics-based movies haven't always done well. My one quibble is with the actor playing Jughead, who's awfully bald for someone playing a man in his mid to late twenties. Still, that does happen, and it's a minor matter. This is a nice, enjoyable movie.
