This book is very practical if you are trying to learn Arabic on your own. It is a good program to complement other guides and books you might already gotten for your study. I like the way is laid out and is completely user friendly. I recommend this book is you are interested in learning Arabic at a relaxed pace.

Great start book
) I bought this book because my arabic professor recommended it and he was right. It's got lots of figures to help you out with memorizing words and it also has the pronunciation phonetics in parenthesis. I haven't gone far on the reading but it's got a good amount of basic vocabulary to let you handle day to day situations in arabic. At the end of the book, there is a list of nouns, adjectives and verb conjugations that are used throughout the lessons that can be handy as a quick reference.
