Aqua Teen Hunger Force - Vol. 1 (DVD, 2003, Digi-Pack)

Obviously this set will keep you entertained for the whole time you watch each episode. These are outrageously funny and even though its hard to say why they are funny sometimes, they just feel good to watch. However, each episode is no more than 15 minutes long ... so in about an hour after watching all the episodes (there are only about 8 on the disc) you are left wanting more and wondering why you spent so much money on a disc set that is shorter than most movies. The episodes are very funny ... the extras are terrible and unwatchable. Extra material shouldn't even have been included but they needed to stretch the 'run time' on the back of the box because it would be hard for them to say the total run time of all episodes was 59 minutes and charge so much. Still, these are a good deal on EBay although most sellers screw you on high shipping costs so all in all you'd be better getting these at a large mall store that has used cds and dvds.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force...what do you say about it? A talking shake, box of fries, and a ball of meat plus a sleezy low life next door neighbor. Sounds riveting huh? Well, I personally think it is. It's so simple, it's such an easy formula and it's oh so funny.
These three different pieces of a possible fast food meal are supposed to be Jersey's crime stopping squad and end up taking you through random quests that sometimes don't even make sense; but their awkward and subtle humor will have you laughing throughout. I admit the first episode I saw I sat there and thought to myself, "Why did I waste my time watching that?" but every episode afterward hooked me.
This humor may not be for everyone though, that's why I gave it Good and not Excellent. It is somewhat exclusive because honestly some might not get the humor and just find it plain boring.
Still, the stupidity (and in some cases SMART humor) should get a good majority of people out there. Give this first season a try if you will. You might enjoy the quirky adventures of a shake, some fries, and a talking wad of meat.

I recieved my DVD in just a few days....it was brand new and we all love it. Def. will buy from them again...It was a pleasure

If you like this crazy cartoon stuff, its for you! I happen to like it and so do my kids- we are a goofy bunch.

Don't let the short episodes get you down. These shows are 15 minutes and they cram alot of classic jokes into each one. It is worth the 15$ you gotta spend to get it.

This show is absolutely a must see for all who love comedy! I watched one episode and I was hooked!! I can't get enough! Every episode in this volume is hilarious and leaves you wanting more!

This dvd begins the idiocracy that are the aqua teens. The un-foreseen chaoticness of not only three room-mates,but living breathing food products that on many incidents pretty much kill themselves trying to get some or obtain items of their liking. If your a fan of craziness stupidity or just love the series already this dvd definately does not dissappoint.

Very funny!!!! First season of the ATHF, awesome and extremely funny to say the least. First and only season, when the teens were actually private investigators.. Great to watch, great to have.

and meat was good, there was also a potato and some ice cream (or probably just the powdered mix). This is the season that started it all. I personally like these earlier seasons than the last two, though season 5 wasn't all that bad. My favorite episode on this DVD would have to be Dumber Dolls with David Cross supplying the voice of Happy Time Harry. Highly recommended DVD if you've never seen any.

This show is so funny.
so there's a meatball named meatwad and he's kinda dumb. He'll belive anything you say to him. There's a container of french fries named frylock and he is the smart one he looks after everything pretty much. Then there's a cup with a straw sticking out of the top of the cup named shake. He's pretty dumb also, he likes to get stuff off the internet. They have a fat hairy neighbor named carl and he likes women alot. There is also these little 80's looking video game characters, but im not sure what they're names are. Either way if you have a since of humor then you'll love this show!(:

This is almost as fun as Squidbillies. Meat wad and Frylock rock. And the annoning Master Shake is even funny.

ATHF is not for everyone, but if you have that sort of "off the wall", dry sense of humor, it is totally awesome. A great cartoon.

I love the whole Aqua Teen Hunger Force show and this is the first of a great series!! I def recommend it!

I bought this DVD because of the hype a friend of mine made about it. I had never seen a full episode before I picked this one up. It's totally hilarious! I'm the type of person who apprieciates everything from subtle to silly to raunchy type jokes, and this DVD has them all! This is the type of show that you can enjoy even more with your buds!

Loved the shows I had seen on ADULT SWIM, so wanted to see more. Its nice to be able to show friends and family the 5 or 6 episodes that I think are the funniest!

There is nothing better than season 1 of the Aqua Teens. If you want to own one dvd from Adult Swim, this is it, hands down. If you can't laugh at Carl, Meatwad, Master Shake, or the Mooninites, there is someting wrong with you.

The ATHF Volume 1 set contains the beginnings of what would be a mostly-unknown hit. With the exception of the pilot episode Rabbot, these 12 minute episodes set new grounds for cartoon comedy.
