Appleseed (DVD, 2005, Theatrical Release Only)

I LOVE IT! the contrast between the characters and the background is amazing! I couldn't believe it! i looked every where for another one like it and still can't find one!

At first glance, one sees a movie with Japanese manga style animation combined with advanced CGI graphics; lot of action scenes. But taking another look, and one sees the development of a pretty decent story line. In terms plot, the story is done well in attaching emotion to the story of the main antagonist (Deunan, a butt-kicking heroine). It shows her development as she fights a nameless (and objective-free) battle and then finds reasoning to continue to fight (for humanity, for her mother, and for her lover). The movie serves a means of developing the identities and the backgrounds of the characters as they appear in the sequel Appleseed:Ex Machina. if you liked this, then you definitely will love Appleseed: Ex Machina as it is packed with even more action, better graphics, and a more believable/realistic story.

REceived within a couple of days. My son was very pleased with the Movie. It was in excellent condition.

i purchased it because of the expansion of the original story.despite the different animation this time around, it was a very good movie.

I initially had the opportunity to preview the movie inside a nightclub while traveling outside the country. Although there was no sound at the time, I was able to follow the storyline through just the animation. It just goes to show how great the animation and direction combines to offer a great movie. When I later returned to the US, I found a copy hear on eBay. Being able to listen to the soundtrack for the first time while watching the movie just blew me away even more. I rate the movie an A+++.

I recently bought Appleseed (2005 Edition) from Ebay, in hopes of giving my boyfriend the one last piece of his Appleseed collection. Plus....it was his birthday....
He loved the quality of the DVD; I'm sure he was expecting something from the internet to be slightly "handled," if not worse...Really, there wasn't anything we could find that we disliked about it.
Also, the price of the DVD and the shipping time was incredible!! Overall, I would have to say this was a great buy.

I still haven't got the dvd so, I can't tell you if the movie is good. The seller lost track of my item. He was supposed to contact the post office as to where abouts is the item. I still haven't found out anything as to the status of the item. Other than that i would give you a review once i get the dvd.

My boyfriend wanted this movie and asked me to get it for him and he loves it. He watched it all the time now

Cool visual anime with a descent storyline. The CGI does'nt leave you in amazement for too long.It eventually gets annoying and it makes you want to just skip the movie.The story helps to keep you interested in the entier movie.
