      IPOD Touch 8 GB

I own a Plam Treo 755 with all the bells and whistles, but needed something with some logevity to the battery for flights. I went to buy a classic 80 gig but they were sold out. They just put this out so I played for a little and decided to buy it... So here is my evaluation after 3 days of use. No issues with the interface as of yet with the exception of using it on the internet, for one my GMail account. You can get email but you can not respond in the body area of the return email. The keyboard will not come up. I have noted several other areas that this happens. Apple needs to give us a button to pull up the keyboard or fix the bugs that do not permit it to come up when needed. ( It pops up automatically when needed, well almost)
Second issue is the brightness adjustment at lower settings flickers. Called Apple and the reset was used (wipes it out to start over) Not a real big deal but it did fix it for a while, it is back this time they said to return it. ( This takes a 156meg down load os it takes a few minutes to get it done)
For as much as it cost it should have some sort of sock or cover with it, not a chance. So far I have only seen silicone covers, most of the others do not protect the edges, I am certain there are inventers/manuafacturers busy on this one...If there aren't they need to get busy, the edges will take a beating, this things slips out of your hand pretty easily.
If you have big fingers the keyboard is going to be a little frustrating, especially if you are trying to do a search function on Ebay, you can not see what you typed until you close the keyboard.
Fantastic sound, much better than my 60gig gen 5 IPOD, Slick interface, no games or any demos on it when purchased, There should be some.
Price is varied, low is Sams Club, high is most of the buy it nows listed here, even the cost on Apples site is less. Do your homework, try one out on the sites you want to use "before you purchase" save the pain of taking it back if it does not work cause Java and flash are NOT supported.
Like anything anymore, the buyer is the beta tester for this, really cool, but there are lots of things missing that should be there. Apple has always been good about all in one on their Macs but for some reason they were so taken by the neat interface they forgot to install the needed things.
There could have been a camera in this thing and made it worth the sub $300.
Bottom line, love it but not enough to keep it, goes back tomorrow and will wait for the next generation that has everything in it and it functions on the internet with keyboard support. Probably the easiest set up to use the WIFI I have seen...

Apple iPod touch - 8 GB

The Apple iPod touch is the iPhone with out the phone capabilities. The touch-widescreen is incredible! The control is simple and easy to use. The display is bright and light-sensitive, meaning it will automatically adjust to the surrounding light.
The built-in wireless lets you surf the web as if you were on your desktop at home. Since most places and airports offer free wi-fi, you can check email and scores on Safari, and be able to see regular websites, not text only or 'mobi' versions.

PROS: small, thin, widescreen, built-in wi-fi and Safari browser

CONS: if you loved the click-wheel, then I guess not having one would be a con
Initial small storage sizes, which will increase when flash storage technology increases, likely in next year's release.

      Apple iPod Touch Review

The iPod Touch is pretty amazing because of its touch feature. It is mych like the iPhone but it's a bit smaller and incredibly thin, even thinner than an iPod Classic! Although it is like an iPhone, a lot of applications have been removed leaving the iPhone Touch a few applications like the Safari web browser, iTunes store, and Youtube. The iPhone comes in 8GB or 16GB which is twice the size of what the iPhone can hold. The screen is widescreen and bigger than the other iPods so that you can view videos much better than squinting your eyes. Another good thing is that its battery life is as good as a iPod Classic lasting for about a day listening to music and capable of playing videos for a good couple of hours but the iPod Touch does heat up quick.

Take into the fact that an iPod was originally meant for music, it doesn't hurt to have some convinient applications when you travel but the applications are half of what it is from normal computers but they're still nice additions.

The iPod Touch is basically a mix of the iPhone and iPod classic, less applications than the iPhone and 10x less memory of the iPod Classic.

What isn't there to love about this iPod? Unless you miss the old bulk clickwheel iPod then this is the iPod for you. It has all the features and looks of the Apple iPhone without the phone capabilities. Fully touch screen with built-in Wi-Fi for internet browsing. Don't waste anytime thinking about it, just go buy this one!!!

100% Genuine - Get an iPod Touch For Free
    Review created: 10/15/07

Just stumbled upon a site. Basically all you have to do is sign up, complete an offer and get 10 mates to do the same, then you get a shiny new ipod touch. This sounds crazy, but it does actually work, for real.

It may have taken me just over a few weeks but as it's for free, I have no right to complain as it saved me over £260.

Its a nice easy simple process too. All you have to do is:
    1) Sign up
    2) Complete an offer from one of their advertisers
    3) Then get 10 people to do the same thing using your referral link the site provided you with.

You can sign up at http://free-touch.notlong.com [Copy&Paste]

There are many newsperorts/sites which explain how these sites afford to give you these ipods for free. You can see how they do by visiting the bbc website below.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/media/video/40101000/rm/_40101790_ipods_carver22_vi.ram

Have a look at www.exceem.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12. It is a website forum where people write about receiving their items through referrals.

Please send me a message to let me know how you get on. If you would like tips on how to get referrals then just email me.
