Overall thoughts:
It's the perfect Ipod, way better then the Ipod Classic or Nano. You can read PDfs, check mail, watch HD-like movies, play games (some of the are like Wii using the accelerometer) and you can web surf on the go, so just get one! I like to call it the the no phone Iphone because that is exactly what it is, and its almost $150 less and you don't have to sign any contract.

Great picture quality. Very easy to use. Has a built in speaker. Starts with approx. 14.5 gig due to programs already installed, which is plenty of room, I have over 750 song, over 20 music vids, 2 movies, and several apps and still have almost 7 gigs left. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great music player, you can even use it like a portable movie player by downloading movies from itunes.

Of course, if you have an iPhone there isn't much point to it. Unfortunately, I'm stuck in a two year contract with Sprint at the moment. Decided to upgrade my iPod, and went with the touch. This isn't for hard-core music fans like my husband, who uses most of his 180 gigs, but it's perfect for me. The increased screen size is fabulous, my fav episode of the Squidbillies looks great on this! I love the WiFi, I got rid of my PDA so I could put the money towards this. Tons of great apps in iTunes, tons of great games. Some of them are actually free too, believe it or not. A great Ebay purchase if you don't want to spend the $300 - $400 on the Apple site. The person I bought it from was great. Just make sure to go with someone with a lot of Ebay selling experience and positive feedback.

This iPod is great. The interface is unbelievable, the scrolling is fabulous and the App Store is a superb idea that results in hours and hours of fun. The graphics are just beautiful and the iPod could not have been made any better. The price is still way to high. Apple has failed once again to be fair with the prices. The great thing about eBay is that it gives you an opportunity to get a great item that is overpriced for a little less. And if it is still to much, there are so many more options. If you have the money GET IT. If you don't, there are many other great options such as the iPod Video.

I am usually weary about buying refurbished stuff, especially when it comes to a piece of equipment like an iPod. Because I could save about $75.00 off a new one and basically buy a 16 gig for the price of an 8, I went for it. I must say that I am glad I did. I received it in 2 days from shipfastelectronics and I am impressed, it was packaged well and my biggest worry of how the screen would look was quickly squandered. It was almost perfect! Just a few hair line marks was it, and once I turn it on I can't even see them. The back had more small scratches but I figured on that and I am just going to cover it up with a case anyways. The thing works perfect and looks almost brand new. So I am very pleased with this purchase. One other note is that the headphones and usb cord are not genuine Apple accessories but work just as well.

I absolutly LOVE this iPod what else can i say, With a very elagant design, the ipod touch is a must have for almost everyone. The ipod touch's User interface is VERY user friendly, and has many features such as: Notes, Safari, Calander and more. With the new 3.0 update you get alot of new features like a search function which is very useful if you want to search for a song to listen to, or of you would just like to find one of your apps. The iPod Touch is a very useful gadget that can do mostly anything, except play those new high-tech games that need really high graphics cards; but like we thought we were gonna do that anyways?

The iTouch (iPod Touch) can do many things, such as go to online places such as facebook, myspace, yahoo, and more. You can sign into AIM, MSN, Twitter, and more. Most of all, you can download fun, usefull, and plain stupid and silly apps. There's a wide range of them, just be careful about what you download, some can make your system run very slow.

One of the only problems with the iTouch is the battery life. After a bit, your battery life will be pretty short, and pretty useless for long trips without charging it. The other problem is that if you're looking for something that will be 'beautiful forever'; the iTouch isn't for you. The back is made of very cheap metal, and is very slippery. Basically, the back is a scratch, and fingerprint magnet. Other than that, I highly recommend this product to kids who are over the age of 13. The reason because of that is that any kids under 13 could be careless with it, and probably drop it, or misplace it. Like it would do anything the first time, cause the iTouch is built like a monster, and the front is nearly scratchable. It is almost impossible to break the iTouch without dropping it from a 2-story high house, or going 80mph in a car and dropping it. But are we actually gonna get there?

The iPod touch 16gb 2nd generation is amazing. You have SO Much memory for music and videos and apps, you almost have no idea what to do with the space! The 2nd generation is especially nice, with the built in speaker, the volume controls on the sides and the better feel/sleeker look that fits better in the palm of your hand surprisingly. THis is a must-have and a wonderful gift, especially for the holidays! Can't wait til we see what Apple thinks of next!

The features on this thing are endless. Disagreeing with my expectations, this thing had absolutely no lag at all! A must buy for me.

The interface is easily the best in the business as far as I am concerned. It is a very slick device that is so user friendly that nothing even comes close. It is the perfect size for playing short videos or showing off pictures of your kids. Built in wi-fi is awesome and the built in features are a good start to keep you interested for a couple of months. Overall it is a solid physical device.

It was a struggle to decide which iPod to purchase, but I think I made the right one. I was originally looking at a classic 120gb iPod as I have a huge music collection and thought it would be nice to have that at my fingertips. However, I am pretty certain even 120gb could not touch my collection but it would be a start. I then had a couple friends tell me I had to get a "Touch" and that nothing else mattered. Well I was not certain that was the way I wanted to go as I could only afford the 16gb and that was not even going to put a dent in all my music on the go.
After much deliberation I decided to go ahead and get the new technology and give up the storage capacity. I LOVE MY TOUCH! I received the touch yesterday, gave it a full charge and have since not stopped playing with it. I finally ran the charge out and am recharging it. Should have a fully calibrated battery after this one.
I currently own a Blackberry Curve and have used it for everything, e-mail, internet, games, etc...now however it will most likely become just a phone to me (except for Brickbreaker, love that game). The touch can do all of this and more with a screen that is much easier to read.
The music is easy to access and change, it has a fun little speaker built in so I don't always have to wear a headset. The speaker isn't the greatest, but it serves its purpose. I also like that when I want someone to hear a song I do not have to take my earbuds out, just pull the plug and the speaker takes over. Never been real keen on having anyone else wear my earbuds.
I do wish that the touch wasn't so pricey so I could have had more storage capacity, but I guess as with all electronics, in time this will be possible and I will upgrade again in a few years. In the meantime I am going to use the hell out of this little gadget.

I think this is the best MP3 player in the market right now. The iPod Touch is the fastest iPod and faster than the iPhone. It has almost all of the major features that the iPhone has. The biggest difference is of course the iPhone is a cell phone and the Touch is just an MP3 player. But, the other differences are pretty minor. This includes no camera on the Touch, no Blutooth on the Touch, higher display resolution on the Touch, and so on.

Pros:

Cheaper than the iPhone. Displays pictures and video in decent quality. Built-in WiFi (internet access). Integrated speakers. Excellent touch functionality (i.e. pinching your fingers on the screen to zoom out). Only the iPhone and the Touch are able to offer such experience. No other phones or MP3 players are at this level yet.

Cons:

Obviously the battery life, like all iPods. Although cheaper than the iPhone, it is still the most expensive iPod in the market.

Bottom Line:

I think it is the best MP3 player in the market. If you don't need another cell phone, I would highly recommend getting a Touch instead of an iPhone.
