Excellent size, poor software interface

I have to start out by saying that I really do like the size and convenience of the shuffle. For working out, riding a bike, etc, it does a great job. I really don't like not having a screen to see what I'm listening to or what is on the player, but that was expected with the Shuffle and is a compromise you have to make to get this size.
The one big dislike I have of this player is the interface with the computer (iTunes) and the charging capability (or lack of). If you have your shuffle charging on your computer and you are in a hurry you can't just pull it off the charging stand / interface. This could leave you with nothing on your shuffle at all. Also, if you aren't careful with your settings, you could end up replacing all of your music every time you plug it in to charge it. How hard would it have been to provide a charging interface that didn't immediately have to go to iTunes and risk deleting your music each time?
I have had the shuffle for a few weeks now and have had multiple times where I have brought it in to work only to find that the music I wanted isn't there (sometimes no music at all).
If it wasn't for this big concern I would really like this player for the purpose it is designed for: holding a few songs and randomly shuffling through them. However, this interface concern has me really wishing I had a different player.

I paid for this shuffle and did not receive it. I have emailed this sellar several times and to this date have not received any response. Fortunately it was only a $45 lesson!!!!

This was a TOTAL FAKE! Was NOT a real iPod..only has a fraction of the memory that it displays. Is recognised as a 2gb flash drive but in real life it only has about 512mb of space.

Forget about buying an arm band holder for your iPod Classic so that you can wear it while working out at the gym or jogging. For just about the same price you would pay for an arm band holder, you can pickup a 2GB Second Generation iPod Shuffel on ebay. The 2GB shuffel holds approximately 500 songs, which is more than adequate for any workout or long distance run! The Shuffel weighs just a little over a half ounce and the sturdy built in clip makes it ideal for attaching it to your work out T-shirt or jogging/workout shorts. The clip will hold fast under the most vigirous workout. Get one! You will love it, even if you already own a classic!

Because I got the same thing for my Bday a year ago, and I like this product a lot because it is small, light, it has a clip so it is easy to carry wherever you go, even if you go running. It has quite a good capacity (2GB) and I like when songs are shuffling, so I don't get bored with them. I also find the battery quite powerful since it can run like 8hours as I experienced. A little thing that disturbs me that the "shuffle" function pics the same sets of songs every time, and that after recharging the battery, it starts playing from the very beginning. Other than that I like the different colors, I have a purple one that is very pretty, and this silver is ok too.

) I had an Ipod like the one I bought, it was stolen and I wanted to replace it. The one I bought from Ebay was listed as "Brand New In Box" never opened. However it already had childrens music on it and it does not work properly. I emailed the dealer with no reply. The volumn control does not work properly, the pause does not work at all. A very bad experience this time. I paid $60 for a piece of junk.

Apple iPod shuffle 2nd Generation Silver (2 GB, MB518LLThis unit was not an authentic Apple product. It did not come with a Shuffle dock to connect it to the computer. The shuffle had a USB port on the bottom and a USB cable was included to charge the unit. Fortunately, the unit did not work and the seller refunded my money. I was then able to purchase a real iPod shuffle and am very pleased with it!

Shuffle me upThis is a great intro into the world of "mobile" music. Easy to use, long battery life (12 hours), and small profile make it the ideal vehicle to bring your music with you with minimal bulk.
Most new cars have an Aux input that the Shuffle can plug into making it ideal for a long road trip or the daily commute.
The only drawback is no screen to browse through songs, but that is why it’s called the shuffle!
