Apple iPod nano chromatic Blue (8 GB) MP3 Player

The 4th generation Nano, Available in capacities of 8GB, and 16GB (priced at $149 & $199 respectively) these have a scratch-resistant aluminum body and are now slimmer than ever. The unit has new rounded, contour edges that make it feel thinner than it is and feel right in your hand. The new line-up comes in a whole array of colors to match the rainbow, and to match your personality as well.

The 4th Generation Nano has completely redesigned the Nano over the 3rd generation “Fat”, and it feels like it is different on the sides when you hold it comparatively to the older generations. Stepping back to the 1st and 2nd generation designs, it takes the good of the style of the 2nd gen, along with the advancements in the “Fat” 3rd generation versions, and creates a winning design. This design is a lot thinner than it was, yet retains the 2-inch screen, though it is millimeters thinner. The new screen saves the room for viewing your tracks and playing games, but the genius comes in the flipping of the screen.

The screen with this change, still has a 2-inch viewing area, which makes it very easy to use, browse and watch. When view movies, shows, podcasts with the new Nano, the Nano should be flipped to a “widescreen” view, in which the new accelerometer changes the landscape and viewing of this device. This new Nano still has a long battery life. Apple claims that it will last 36 hours, but I was able to get just over 32 hours of playtime – which is nice… real nice. The video experience was just over 6 hours – as advertised.

Another thing about the accelerometer. The accelerometer also enables 'shake to shuffle', where a flick of the wrist will choose a random song. This feels like it has been done right. It also allows easy use of the coverflow system, which runs much smoother this time around.

The new music search functions (Genius), the brighter screen,, sound quality, smoother ease and use of coverflow, and continued games support give the new iPod added flare. The addition of voice notes won't make a difference to most people, as you'll need to buy some extra headphones with a microphone built in – but it is nice to know that it is there if you do.

The addition of Genius, an automatic playlist generator, is going to be a massive hit with iPod fans. Genius will be massive, because it will - if it works as advertised - unlock the potential of your iPod library and help keep parties jumping or evenings chilled. It will also allow Apple to recommend tracks to you by your listening tastes as well.

As a fan small MP3 players, and of the past Nano line-ups, I love this design. I really do. I think the all aluminum casing is the way to go, and I am happy again that it is all around the unit. Should you replace your old 8GB Nano (3rd Generation) with the new one? If you really want accelerometer video abilities and Genius, I would say yes. Regardless if you upgrade, or decided to wait it out, I highly recommended this device to Apple lovers and new MP3 enthusiasts alike.

I purchased this item and found out that it is a fake!!! The apple technology people say the serial number is not an apple number and it is 2gb and not 8 as listed. I bought it for my granddaughter for christmas and she along with myself was very disappointed that it would not work and then to find out it was a fake was really bad.

I was so excited to win this Apple iPod Nano as a "second chance offer". The price was very reasonable and the description stated that it was new with the appropriate warranty in place. I paid for it immediately through Paypal because the seller stated he would send it within a couple of days after payment cleared. Unfortunately, the iPod never came. After about a week, I emailed the seller to ask when my iPod was being sent. While I was waiting for a response from the seller, I received an email from ebay stating that this item listing was being removed and the seller's information was not verifiable. I never did hear from the seller or receive the iPod but I did get my money back from Paypal.

Well I received my package software just thrown in box, 8gb ipod in a 2gb box not sealed power cord prong was broke couldn't even charge...Very disappointed! Total junk received!

The seller did not send item which was purchased for a Christmas present for my daughter! But after going through all the hassle, I did receive my paypal payment back, which he refunded himself without a reason as to why he would not ship the ipod!

I am a retired music teacher. I am somewhat limited in my technology skills. On my computer I can email, google information, and find eBay. I have a large library of CD's but I don't seem to find time to listen to them. My son [with technology savy] suggested I buy a Nano iPod. I bought one on eBay and it arrived in a timely manner. My son showed me how to down load all my CDs into my computer's I Tunes file. This took several days of "ripping". When I plugged my Nano iPod into my computer and the iPod took over and started transferring my music library into the iPod, I was amazed. It was truly a simple process! Now I can listen to my music when I go for walks, when I go biking, when I go canoeing, or when just sitting around the house I can enjoy my music without bothering anyone else. The sound is fabulous and I can find the pieces I want to listen to easily. I feel that I have finally broken into the new age of technology.

I bought a new ipod beccause my old one didn't hold enough music and it was pretty much a dinosuar. I was very pleased with my purchase. It arrived quickly and in the condition stated. I am very pleased with the new ipod nano. They work very well but the battery doesn't last as long as my old one.

Unfortunately, I placed a bid on this item and supposedly won it. I was excited for it would be a Christmas gift for my daughter. Weeks passed and I did not receive so I contacted the seller at which time she said she would be refunding everyone their money back with no explanation at all whatsoever as to why. I was so distraught. I mean I placed the bid and within seconds I paid it. I thought that was how buying something on Ebay worked. She did refund after several weeks. However, I had to wait for my money to be refunded so that then I could go to the store and purchase one last minute. It was uncalled for!!!!!!!!

I loved that this product didnt work correctly when I got it, so I brought it to an Apple store and got a brand new one for used price. HAHA gotta love warranties!!!

I like the fact that such a slim and portable device can do so many things for such a small price. Now the iPod has the ability to play movies, and with a full color screen and all the other improvments since the 1st and 2nd generations of the iPod nano, who wouldn't love this newer, sleeker, and better iPod. They're great for yourself and also make great gifts. But check eBay first, I got mine BRAND NEW, IN BOX, only $139.99. But you should also make sure you read the descriptions of the iPod, because there are a lot of FAKE iPods out there on eBay. The real iPods don't have voice recorders or fm radio built into them, but the fakes usually do! Also beware of the "China" models, those are also fakes.

This was a great find. It is perfect for my husband. Holds all his country and bluegrass and he is on cloud nine. It is simple to operate, which is great for him!!
