The second gen. Ipod nanos are the most practical in my opinion, because they offer the slimmest design, a window of operation, and versatile accessories. I use mine everyday, inside and outside, on road trips, hiking, just about anywhere. I wouldn't use anything else! Unfortunately, they have been discontinued and replaced by the third gen. pods, which are bulkier. But I still have mine, and I love it!!!
