I loved my nano... for about two months. That's when I dropped my nano for the first time, and the LCD screen cracked. Now, I essentially have a really expensive iPod shuffle. I admitt that the drop was my fault and an accident, but shouldn't a $200.00 mp3 player be able to sustain one drop? Not according to Apple! Accidental LCD damage is not covered under warranty, and Apple does not currently repair LCD damage- not even if you offer to pay for it. Apple's suggestion was, "you could just purchase a new one." Thank you for the permission to purchase a new $200 piece of equipment that I was not satisfied with in the first place.
