  The Little iPod that Could

No, I don't mean the Nano. Compared to my old entertainment center, my shiny black 5th generation 60gb iPod is tiny.

I bought the iPod for myself for Christmas in order to save my husband the trouble of shopping. It was a brilliant idea. After ripping all my CDs as well as music from several different home computers to the iPod, I wrapped it up and put it under the Christmas tree.

After putting all the music I own onto my iPod, I still had some 54gb of space remaining free. For a brief period of time,a minute or two, I wondered if I had gone overboard getting the 60gb iPod rather than one of the smaller, less expensive ones available. But then I recalled how back in 1994 I believed I would never need more than an 8mb hard drive. Besides that, the 60gb didn't seem all that more expensive than the 30gb for twice the space.

Perhaps the only downside of owning an iPod is that you don't have any choice about where to purchase your music on the internet. To do it legally, you have to purchase music from Apple's iTunes.

I checked out iTunes and found it cost $1.99 for a single song download and I thought that was a little extravagant. After all, most of the music that I want is music I first paid for back in the 60s and 70s; first on vinyl albums, later on 8 tracks, then cassette tapes and finally compact discs. When would I have the right to listen to the music I'd been buying since childhood? For example, I first purchased the song, "Scarborough Fair" by Simon & Garfunkel back in 1968 on a 45 single vinyl. Just a couple of years later I bought it again when I purchased the album. Then in the late 1970s I found myself buying the song yet again, this time on a cassette tape recording. In the 1980s I bought it yet again in the form of a CD. And now in the next century, to download it from Apple's iTunes, it would cost me $1.99.

While I was exploring iTunes, I discovered the podcast. Podcasts are audio recordings that are, for the most part, free for download. They come from individuals as well as public broadcasting in both the U.S. and the U.K. I downloaded a few podcasts from the BBC as well as NPR.

When my husband, the genuis who had given me the iPod for Christmas, went out of town for a week, I was running our eBay business on my own. We ship out 60 or so packages a week so I stayed fairly busy. The most tedious part of the business is the wrapping of packages for shipping. I took my iPod out to the mail room (fancy name for our backporch) with me to work. While I was wrapping packages to send through the mail, I listened to free podcasts and the time zipped by. I became addicted to the podcast.

When iTunes started offering television programs for $1.99, I wondered why anyone would pay to watch a tv show they could see for free just by watching tv. But then I missed two episodes of "Desperate Housewives" in a row and found out I could download them to my iPod. The clarity of the video is much better than any I've seen anywhere else, including high definition televisions and movie screens.

There are video podcasts that you can download to your iPod for free and some of them are rather entertaining. I use my iPod just about every day and both audio and video are top notch.

There are a few things I would love to see Apple bring to the iPod interface. I would love to be able to manipulate folders on my iPod without having to hook it up to my computer.

I give the iPod an excellent

60GB Black iPod Video Worth the Cost?

A lot of you are wondering if this massive storage device is actually worth the dough. Well.. hard to say since I got mine for free from www.wickeddeals.net But if you are looking for the capability to store an unbelieveable amount of songs, photos, and even video, this device is for you.

Pros:
I have 7,000 songs, 10 photoshop tutorial videos, and 300 photos on my pod and I still have 52% of the hard drive free. I am trying to so hard to actually fill this thing, but it is difficult!

The unit is quite durable. I have dropped it a few times while running with it, and it has only received minor scratches.

The screen is very bright and easy to see.

The battery time is actually quite good. I think the longest it went for me just playing songs was about 5 hours or so.

Cons:
This unit is large compared to the other iPods. It is quite bulky on my arm while running. It is too heavy and bulky to leave in my pocket. So I recommend buying the sport sleeve or holding it while working out.

The unit does not fit well into the sport sleeve designed for it since the screen is so large. You cannot see the full title or artist name in the song list because the neoprene material covers it up. If you don't need the sport sleeve, then this is not a big deal.

The hard drive does have moving parts, so it is easier to break when dropped than a unit that does not have a hard drive.

It seems mine has gotten scratches on the front face plate rather easily (sliding it in and out of the protective sleeve).

The unit is expensive.

Conclusion: If you need loads of storage and don't mind a bulky unit, this thing is great. I love my iPod. And you really can't beat free.

When I was fortunate enough to recieve one of these, I thought it would be way better than the 4th gen, but it isn't. Yeah sure, it can play videos, but that is about the only feature that stands out. This ipod is alot slower than the 4th gen model, and sometimes takes over 10 seconds to load a single song. It often freezes when attempting to load songs or turn on, and you have to turn it off for 10-15 seconds and then turn it back on in order for it to work. I have tried this on 2 differant iPods and the results are the same. Apple took a step backwards with this model, your better off getting a 60 gig 4th gen.

Features: 4/5
Quality: 1/5
Design: 2/5
Durability: 2/5

Overall: 2/5

Best large-capacity MP3 player. The iPod dominates the market among hard-drive players, and it's still an overwhelming favorite in reviews. The latest iPod plays both photos and video on its color screen, but reviews say the 2.5-inch screen is too small for extended viewing. If you don't need room for 7,500 songs, the iPod nano and Zen Micro Photo (below) are smaller and lighter than the 4.8-ounce iPod. The Creative Zen Micro Photo doesn't have the iPod's easy interface, but the Zen Micro does have an FM tuner and voice recorder, and it's compatible with the latest music-subscription services The iPod has none of these features. A 60GB iPod sells for $400. The iPod is both Mac and Windows compatible.

THIS IS THE COOLEST ELECTRONIC THAT I HAVE EVER OWNED! LET ALONE AN MP3 PLAYER, IT IS SOO MUCH MORE THAN THAT! IT PLAYS VIDEOS IN EXCELLENT QUALITY, YOU CAN PLAY GAMES, ORGANIZE YOUR SCHEDULE, VIEW PHOTOS, EASILIY UPLOAD FROM ITUNES, CHARGE IN ABOUT 4 HOURS TO GIVE YOU APPROXIMATELY 20 HRS. OF MUSIC PLAYBACK! OH DID I MENTION YOU CAN FIT 15,000 SONGS WITH FULL COLOR ALBUMS ON THE IPOD. THERE ARE SOO MANY ACCESSORIES YOU CAN BUY FOR THIS, LIKE A CAMERA/PHOTO VIEWING ATTACHMENT, A REMOTE RADIO PLAYER, AC CONNECTORS (FOR TV VIEWING), ROMOTE CONTROL, FASHONABLE SKINS, SOCKS, AND SO MUCH MORE. THE DOWN SIDES ARE THAT IT WAS A LITTLE EXPENSIVE; $451.00 WITH TAX (BUT ABOUT $400 ON EBAY). THE IPOD HAS TO BE CONNECTED TO THE COMPUTER TO CHARGE (4 HRS), TYPICALLY I USE MY COMPUTER FOR NO MORE THAN HALF AN HOUR. THE STYLISH BLACK SCRATHCHES EASILY, SO I HAD TO BUY A ISKIN FOR $42 WITH SHIPPING FROM WWW.ISKIN.COM . THE GRADE I GIVE FOR PERFORMANCE AND ACCESSBILITY OUT OF 10; A 9. THE AFORDABLITY I GIVE A 2. THE OVERALL GRADE I GIVE IT IS AN 8. FINAL COMMENTS ARE THAT IF YOU LIKE TECHNOLOGY AND MUSIC, YOU'LL LOVE THE IPOD VIDEO 60GB. BUT SO SERIOUSLY NEED TO THINK ABOUT SPENDING ALMOST HALF A GRAND ON A MUSIC PLAYER! HOPE THIS REVIEW HELPED. HAPPY SHOPPING!

Apple's foray into the PMP market is a winner.

Sight unseen (in person anyway), I purchased the iPod from the Apple Store in December 2005. It arrived promptly, and the first day I put all my MP3's on it. I did not yet put any videos on it, because I hadn't found a conversion solution to my liking. Accordingly, I will first discuss my first experiences, which were with music and the interface.

Aesthetically speaking, the iPod, especially the black model, looks amazing. The sheen of the material, and the smoothness to the touch offer an extremely stunning appearance that makes the product that much more enjoyable to use. The screen is 2.5 inches diagonal, but has a much greater size in terms of perception. This illusion is caused by the stunning level of brightness on the screen.

The famous Apple click-wheel design is no longer a mechanical part like in previous generations, but rather a touchpad designed by Synaptics, a company world famous for laptop touchpads. The style is unchanged though. It is still operated by making circular motions, and instead of a mechanical click, the sound is supplied a small speaker in the iPod, and through the earbuds.

As far as sound quality is concerned, this is largely variable, depending on several factors. On the iPod end of things, sound processing is handled by the central ARM7 and ARM9 processors. However, the iPod is not solely responsible for sound quality. Another large factor is the quality level of the encoding on a given song. The songs I tested were 128kbps AAC (Apple format, equivalent to 192kbps MP3), and 300kbps MP3. Naturally, the 300kbps MP3's sounded noticably better, as one would expect. However AAC produced acceptable sound quality as well.

If one is not satisfied with the sound quality, one of the approximately 20 different equalizer presets in the iPod can be useful. Be advised however, that equalizers require the iPod to process and change song attributes in real-time, which significantly decreases charge life on the battery.

The aforementioned iPod battery is an in-built lithium ion battery, not removable or serviceable by the end user. It is stated by Apple to last about 15 hours on music playback, and 3 hours on video. Both estimates are on the proviso that one is not using any equalizer.

Next I will discuss the video capability. The iPod can play videos that are encoded in the QuickTime H.264 codec, with the suggested quality profile of 320x240 resolution, with 128kbps stereo audio. The most prominent place to acquire iPod compatible videos is the iTunes Music Store, which offers TV shows, music videos, and other videos available for download, preformatted for iPod. If one wishes to convert their own videos, this is possible via QuickTime Pro, or a smattering of other applications.

Video on the iPod is extremely good quality, with good brightness and overall clarity. The LCD screen leaves some more contrast to be desired (as do all LCDs), but the backlighting seems to be perfectly even, which is a relief. Given the 4:3 (standard television) aspect ratio, and low resolution of the 2.5 inch screen, this is not a device that would make for a cinematic experience. However, such material isn't intended for this use anyway. The core material for iPod video is music videos and television, both of which are a pleasure to view on the iPod.

Overall, Apple's video-enabled iPod makes a superb portable media device which will provide endless enjoyment for the mobile music and video lover.

it took me a LONG LONG time to consider buying this thing...and i was a devout sony flash player user for a couple of years before i fell in love with itunes. here is what pretty much sums up the ipod for me.
Pros:
1. high capacity hard drive. im told its durable but i baby my ipod so i never had the chance to find that out.
2. amazingly high resolution display with colors that kicks the tubes out of my magnavox or computer monitor.
3. the controls are very intuitive. the paper-like texture of scroll wheel provides great feel for when im selecting songs or controlling volume without looking.
4. itunes is one of the best interface programs out there. i still use the sonicstage software since i also have an MD player and a sony flash drive player but itunes is vastly superior..especially the one click song purchase..sigh..sublime.
5. unlike the lower capacity versions or the previous generation ipods the new 60 GB has a fantastic 20 hours till you need the next charge (however this varies with usage...i stretch the battery life by keeping the backlight off when im just listening to music...and the internal memory is a way to conserve power, but when you do lots of song selections you make the harddrive spin more often and that can lower your battery's running time) but its a good few hours more than the 30 GB.
6. it plays videos..need i say more?
7. in "enable disk" mode it doubles as an external harddrive for your computer. i intend to fill this thing up with lots of adobe images so 60 GB is the way to go.
Cons:
1. the acryllic faceplace of the ipod is super susceptible to scratches...even certain holders and cases scratch the surface of it. my new 60GB doesnt have a scratch on it(yet) but my 30 GB has lots of little scratches here and there with more noticably larger ones RIGHT OVER the display..provided your ipod is white thats hard to see....but its when the light refracts through the facets of the scratches over the display itself you begin to notice.
2. this may happen once or twice, but when it does its very frustrating. ipods have been known to freeze. this happened to me before..but not with the 60GB. the ipod didnt suffer any software corruption or anything...but i found that on occasion very quick song selections while playing other songs can make your ipod halt completely..the display will show what you selected and you cant get out of that function. the only thing you can do is let the display eat away at the battery until it shuts down completely then you can restart it by plugging it in. afterwards it should run just fine. its just a memory problem thats easily avoided.
3. i mentioned the battery before and how its great..but when compared to the likes of sony then you see the shortcoming. albeit the vast majority are flash drives so the lack of moving parts are the core of its longevity, but the shuffle has a meager 12-14 hours, the nano and 30GB the same, and the 60 has 20....now 20 is good...but remember this is an estimate and the ipod with very energy conscious usage will probably only get you about 5-6 hours of actual constant running time. perhaps the lithium ion battery doesnt hold a torch to the venerable nickel metal hydrides. =/this doesnt normally matter if you only use it from point A-B close to home...but i travel alot, so it makes a difference.
4. its pricey, but you get a full year of coverage by apples fantastic warranty. if youre willing to shell 60 bucks you get 2 more years. excellent =)

Over the last few months apple has advertised that the new ipod can store and play vidos. Well it can, but you can only get videos by purchasing them from the itunes music store and all they sell in the way of videos is tv shows. So the new video is just a slimer and more expencive version of the ipod photo.

Store your life stories and more!
Review created: 12/24/05
by:
9 of 11 people found this review helpful.

Apple's iPod Video has outstanding technologies: 30 GB or 60 GB (!!) storage, photo-quality display, the gret click-wheel interface. My favorite: the multimedia capability.

It literally is now possible to store your family's life stories _in your pocket_, to take with you or keep in a safe place. Pictures, voice recordings of grandma, old and new home videos (yes, up to 150 hours' worth), perhaps a favorite tv show, commercial, or movie you'll want to view later--or maybe pass around the family. Oh, and that ton of songs, maybe every family member's top ten (top hundred, etc.)? Living memories, time capsule, treasured family history; you can have all of these things, in one small, tough, easy-to-access package.

Music: Not much more needs to be said about the music capability; the iPod started the movement, and still leads the way.

Photos: Ditto; and the images are museum-sharp. IMMENSE storage capability; no need to carry tens of rolls of film on vacation, or a ton of memory cards either. Get the right cable, and download your camera on-the-go. Sort and view either on the iPod or on a larger laptop, desktop, or tv display easily.

Videos: While the availability of content grows by the week (we love LOST on it, the Pixar movies, the classic Hitchcok tv series!), the right software can transfer any video source to MP4 format for loading onto your iPod. Edit on your computer, format into MP4, and drag onto your iPod as you would a song. Use the optional cable and record directly from your camcorder. For playback, the $19.95 A/V cable lets you play on any tv. You might think you'd lose resolution moving from the 2.5 inch display to, at our house, a 53 inch rear-projection tb, but the image was terrific, at least for the Pixar products and the best show on tv, LOST. Imagine flying around the world several times, and having fresh, non-repeating movies and other shows to watch the whole time. In your pocket.

Cons: Wow; I'm going to have to get picky here. Sure, 20 hours of battery life for music, maybe 4-6 hours for video (I actually got around 8), could be kicked up. However, options such as in-car chargers or lightweight external battery packs probably add the kinds of flexibility you'd need to overcome any power concerns you might have. Display size: Sure, ARCHOS and EPSON have larger displays, and they look good; part of the trade-off there is the power consumption of these larger screens, their greater vulnerability to scratching. Solve a few problems, and we might want to ask Apple about those displays (or maybe a larger screen that clips onto the back of iPod, self-powered?). That's about it; but no one really has anything better, just different and not in as convenient a package. Reminds me of my wife---the best there is out there!

Buy and enjoy. This is not a daunting gadget. Bring it along as a trusted companion, one who can record and replay life's experiences for you and yours.

iPod Is Awesome - Battery Isn't
Review created: 12/28/05(updated 12/28/05)

Well, the holidays have come and gone and so have the presents. Included in my stocking were the normal: underwear, socks, t-shirts and the latest iPod video. It's incredible - plays music and video, shows photos and slideshows, tells you where you need to be and why you need to be there, and even has a screen lock so your pesky family members or room mates at college can't listen to your extensive Hanson library downloaded from iTunes or look at that picture of Johnny Damon's new hair cut and shave that you've been fantasizing over. Actually, with the 60 gigs you can hold 15,000 Hanson songs, 25,000 profile shots of Johnny Damon, and 150 hours of your favorite Teletubbie episodes. I love it.

The visuals are amazing, but there's one problem: Battery. Everyone seems to be concentrating on the wonderful video feature, so we all needed a stronger battery for all of this jazz. The video is amazing, please don't get me wrong, and I'll thank the 8 year old Chinese girl who made this wonderful 2.4 inch by 4.1 inch piece of Hi Def television, but the battery is just drained by it. I downloaded and watched several music videos and within about an hour, my battery was dead. I suppose the 20 hours that they advertise is minus the backlight. And another question - Where is the charger? I'm sorry I'm so critical, but I own a laptop with 1 USB port occupied by my wireless internet, so I can't charge my battery when I'm working.

Overall, I am really impressed with this item as I am with most of Apple's product. If they can make it play video, why can't they make the battery last long enough to watch them? Anywho, good effort Apple. I'm keeping an eye out for the next big step...

  Clearing up some iPod mysteries
Review created: 05/15/06
5 of 5 people found this review helpful.

I have just been reading through the reviews above and couldn't help but notice some inaccurate claims. I have had my 60 GB 5th Gen iPod for about 7 months now. I use it to play music through my car stereo, while I am at work, exercising and even while I mow the lawn. I have well over 5000 songs, 24 full - length movies, and 75 TV shows on it. There are many free or cheap software titles out there to help you convert DVD movies and TV series to use on your iPod. iTunes it self makes converting music CDs a snap. Simply do a google search on "convert DVD to ipod" and you will find many options. I use NERO Recode because I already paid for a copy before I bought my iPod, but I have many friends that use Videora because it is free and they like it.
You do not need to buy your music from iTunes unless you want to. You can just as easily buy your music through Napster, or Music Match JukeBox or several other online music sources. The last I checked (2 minutes ago) iTunes is still selling songs for $0.99 each, only their music videos cost $1.99.
Yes, it is true that your iPod may hang once in a while. Mine probably does this about one time every month or so, but I listen to it a lot. You do not need to wait for the battery to go dead before you can use it again. If you hold down the center button and the menu button both for about 10 seconds your iPod will reboot and be ready to go 10 or 15 seconds later.
I owned a 4th generation photo iPod before buying this 5th generation iPod and I owned the 4th generation (non color) iPod before that. I honestly do not see any difference in the speed between the different models. What I do notice is that the 5th generation iPod battery lasts longer and the unit is noticably thinner.
The iPods all generally scratch easily. Fortunately there are hundreds of different skins and cases made to protect your iPod. If you want to keep it looking like new I suggest you find a case that you like and buy one as soon as you get your iPod.

great player. looks wonderful, tons of storage, crisp screen. sound quality has improved a good deal.

cons:
if you use album art, like i do, the UI lags a lot when loading songs. wish battery life was a bit better, and wish i could still use firewire. also the exclusion of the ac adaptor is a major con for me, as i only use my computer about 30 minutes a day and its off for the rest of the day.

, I don't mean the Nano.

  A Couple of Quick Things

There's a couple of things you need to know when you buy an iPod.

FIRST and MOST IMPORTANT, the first reviewer (Harperbooks) was absolutely INCORRECT when stated that iTunes charges $1.99 per song. It's only $.99! iTunes is a WONDERFUL place to find music, even hard to find music. Well worth the money!

Second, the "sleeve" that that person bought must have really sucked. There are a lot of GREAT accessories out there and you don't have to sacrifice screenage. Sports sleeves are great for more than just work-outs! They make life VERY convient when you use the iPod for working around the house....et.al.

Third, I've NEVER had a problem putting the iPod in a pocket (pants, shirts or otherwise). It's a relatively small unit (especially compared to previous iPod models-i.e Mac's 4th Generation 40GB, that baby is huge!), being about the size of a pack of ciggies, but much thinner!

The only draw-back I've found with ANY size iPod units is the "scratchablility" factor. The screen needs to be protected and the lovely metal backing does have a tendency to mar up fairly easily. To remedy that, buy a silicone skin and you're all set!

Hope this makes your decision easier!

iPod Video is the Amazingly Incredible
Review created: 06/10/06

I love the iPod Video! You can use it when you are in the car in place of the radio. The Video is resonably priced at $300 for the 30GB (Holds 7,500 songs), and $400 for the 60GB (Holds 15,000 songs). I use the iPod when I go for a walk and I purchased an iTrip for $35 so now I can even use it in the car in place of the radio. I love how the Video is so thin compared to previous iPods and easy to use, you just plug it into your computers and it automatically loads your songs up on to it. It also can hold up to 25,000 photos so you can view a picture slideshow where ever you are, you can even buy a dock and watch the slideshow on any TV. Oh Yeah, it also can hold 75 hours of video or if you get the 60GB it can hold 150 hours of video.

The iPod packs all kinds of features, you can use it as a stop watch when your running, you can play games on it when you are on a plane or you can hook it up to speakers and use it as an alarm clock so that you can wake up to your favorite tunes. The battery life is extrodinary on it. It can play for 14 hours on one charge.

The iPod Video is available in either Black or White and is extremely thin, at .43 inches, it is only .16 inches thicker than the nano (The 60GB iPod is .55 inches thin).

iPods are great!! -- But There is a Learning Curve
Review created: 06/04/06

I love my iPod. It has proven to be a great thing. I love having ALL my muic with me ALL the time. I have 10,263 songs on mine. I also love being able to use it as backup to my digital camera when I am away from my computer. I think, though, that there will be improvements in the future. This technology is new. An iPod is useless without a computer to manage it, and your computer better be pretty new, and pretty fast, and have hard drive space available at least to match your iPod size. Then, it is difficult to get all your music in a format that is acceptable to the iPod. You have to rip all your CDs, and keep them all safe on your computer (make sure to backup all those valuable music files!!). Then, you have to learn how to connect the iPod to your computer and get iTunes to download all the music from your computer to the iPod. There is a learning curve here. I have spent hundreds of hours fiddling with all this, and there have been frustrations!! Some of the songs will be mis-categorized, and will be hard to find on the iPod. You will also have duplicates. You will have to learn how to make playlists. I have the 60 gig video iPod. It drives me crazy that Apple doesn't allow what is showing on the face of the iPod to be outputted to a TV. I never have gotten movies to play. I guess you have to buy movies from Apple before they will work. This is too restrictive. I have heard that some of the new competitors' models have solved some of these difficulties, and I am very interested in seeing how competitors will solves the frustrations. I don't download music from Apple, as this sounds difficult, slow, and expensive. When I want new music, I buy used CDs, usually from Amazon.com. This is actually cheaper than downloading, and I have a physical backup if anything goes wrong with either my computer or iPod. My iPod has proven to be pretty rugged, although I haven't dropped it yet. I heard that they will break if dropped. Also, my battery life seems good, although even Apple warns that the battery will wear out and need replacement. I am hoping someone will make a service out of replacing iPod batteries, so I don't have to deal with Apple and pay their prices. The iPod scratches easily, so I have it in a case, which also requires some management. Just my 2 cents worth as an everyday user of the iPod I have grown to love...Steve Sooter

The care needed for this amazing device

After purchasing the Apple iPod Black 60GB last September 2005, I noticed that once the clear seal which protects the screen and iPod wheel was taken out, I found the surface to be very sensitive. The surface is succeptible to scatches easily. If you are planning to own this device, I suggest that you purchase adhesive plastic cover or iPod skin to protect your investment. Other than that, the iPod 60GB is an amazing device that can fit approximately 20,000 songs depending on track lengths and MB size.

Looking for new music? iTunes, the desktop companion to the iPod, offers one or two free songs every Monday online. Want Podcasts on your favorite topics? No problem, just use iTunes search engine to see if it's available in the iTunes website.

Planning on using your iPod during long drives? Purchase the iPod iTrip which easily fits underneath your 60GB player. Look for a clear station on your car stereo and start dancing or singing away!

Great for Songs, Movies, and more...

Not only does it hold 15,000 songs it also holds 120 hours of movies. I think this is the best Ipod to come out. Better than the wimpy lightweight Nano and holds way more songs than the screenless Ipod Shuffle this one is way to go!!!

Suggest that you have item with you before posting sale and then taking bids. A bit lacking on your part.

Did not understand the discription of item

I did not understand that "charging" meant the i-pod was broke. It was not the persons fault that sold it I am just not familar with the how things are worded reguarding i-pods so I bought a broke i-pod that just got thrown in drawer. I probalby will not use e-bay again due to the fact I can not afford to take any chances on not understanding there is no guarantee that things will work. But I supposed if I had done my "homeowrk" first I would of known "charging' meant it was broke. I just assumed the battery was low and it was charging. I am sure e-bay is great if I know what I was doing but I spent my money for a broken i-pod. The person told me to sell it again as he did but I can not imagine anyone wanting to but an i-pod that does not work and pay that much for it. I know the man thinks I am stupid and he was mad that I did not understand but everyone is not as informed as others about technology. I did not want him to have a bad rating since he sells on here all the time. We bought it for our daughter for Christmas this past year is why we purchased it.
