I am not one to product-bash, but I am an iPod owner and I will be the first to say that this player is less than extraordinary. The new iPod should be fully charged before its first use, as stated in the manual. Even then, though, the battery life is less than stellar. When I have my headphones on medium-high volume, and I listen to music, I usually get about 6 hours in. This is 6 hours less than the 12 hours claimed on the Apple website. Also, video life is listed as 2 hours. I have Kill Bill Vol. 1 on my iPod, and (for those of you who've seen the film) I was only able to watch the beginning of the Gogo Yubari scene to the end of the Crazy 88 Scene, and then my battery died. For those of you who haven't seen the film, that is about 25 minutes worth of DVD quality video with sound. Maybe my iPod is not working correctly, and I need to get that checked out, but I am going to go ahead and assume that because of its small size and color screen, the iPod falls short of having a decent battery life. What can i say, this is the next generation of the iPod and it is smaller, sleeker, better battery life (music), and honestly looks very nice. PROS -Nice battery life with continuous music -Supports Videos and Photos -30 gb and very lightweight and skinny CONS -Bad battery life with continuous video -Freezes on occasion (happened to me 3 times) -Scratches Easily (so does everything else) I would highly suggest getting this even with the price at 300 dollars. I would also suggest buying a case that covers the hole ipod (like a clear plastic case) Review ID: 10000000000832131 Was this review helpful? Report this review |
