I have dropped my iPod twice. Once in a train station in Canada on a granite floor. No Damage. Not a scratch. Not a problem. Simply amazing.

Sunscreen will damage the plastic of the iPod. You would think they tested the plastic for this since it is a must have item at the beach or pool. I have a permanent finger print on the face now.

I bought the Apple dock, but hardly ever use it. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't buy it.

MUST HAVE! There are clingy, removeable clear screen protectors you can buy to protect the plastic face of your iPod. Buy them (they usually come in pairs). It will keep the screen from scratching. Made by Madkatz, ClearTouch, etc. Search "iPod Screen protectors" on Ebay.

Every Tuesday, Apple updates their store with a free tune. It's usually excellent, but it's usually someone you've never heard of before. You don't have to own an iPod to use iTunes. Download it and reap the same benefits.

You can subscribe to the free Podcasts of your choice in iTunes. These Podcasts are very entertaining. There are meny topics and areas of interest in iTunes. There are additional casts on the web. Again, You don't have to own an iPod to use iTunes. Download it and reap the same benefits.

Do your research before you buy a charger. The iPod video only come with a usb cable for charging via the powered usb on your pc. Apple's wall charger uses the usb cable and costs 30.00 USD. Look at other choices like Belkin. For the same money, you get more.

Buy the Apple in-ear bud style headphones. Also buy Shure E2c foam sleeves. Take off the grey rubber Apple tips and put the Shure's on. The sound quality is the best you'll find for the price. You get a better seal in the ear canal. I have a $300 set of Denon audiophile can style headphone with 40mm drivers. The Apples sound as good. For noise isolation and improved bass, this trick is for you. I had to set my iPod EQ to reduce bass to balance the new level. It's great now.

Unless DLo made improvements to the transpod for your auto avoid it. It has poor sound quality and low level output. I usually listen to my audio in the car on level 18. With the DLo I have to increase the volume to 35+ for the same output. At that level, background noise is amplified during quiet passages. It is an excellent charger, all downfalls aside.

It's just the coolest thing I've ever owned!

The one I purchased was a fake but very deceiving. It had Apple Ipod stamped on the back and cam in a black box which had Apple Ipod all over it. The item looked very close but had three major differences. Control of the volume on an ipod you run your finger around the circle. This one had a volume control button. The size of the screen was a bit bigger and it could pick up radio. These things are not so on an apple. I have been fighting to get my money back, so beware of the (fipods)fake ipods.

The product advertised on ebay that I purchased turned out to be a fake and a rip off--but ebay has not done a thing to help me get my money back! I can't even find a real human to talk to about it!
The actual item sent to me is packaged like an Ipod Nano but you can see at first glance it is not an Ipod at all: the controls are different, the plug-ins are different, and the menu, once you turn it on, is completely different. It says it contains an FM radio and Ipods do not offer this feature.
I got an alert from ebay the day after I purchased the product, indicating the seller was removed from the seller list, but ebay does not show this information to paypal or to my bank so that I can defend my claims.
So I am Very Angry with paypal and I am giving you a Bad Review! Needless to say, I will not be doing business on ebay or with paypal any time soon.
I don't want to keep this product since it is clearly sub-standard.

Never received product, numerous attempts to contact seller and he never responded, had to dispute sale through Paypal in order to get issue resolved. Will never attempt purchase from seller again.

I think was a poor bought, I felt disliked when I received the product because was not an original product, was a pirate product, I wrote to the vendor and I never received an answer.

IS UNSECURE BUY HERE!!

The Ipod that was sent to me was a copycat, not a true Ipod Nano. The disc that came with the package is requiring me to get a technical person, program won't install on computer. Contacted the seller asking about product return information and did not receive a response.

This unit is not an ipod and not even a useable mp3 player, so I cannot rate it as an ipod. When I made a claim I was told to return it to the sender at my expense. No way I'm losing another $22 for shipping. So I will call it a loss and never purchase from ebay again. There was nowhere to go to get help every email link led to same place where I could file a claim or check on my claim.

I have never got it. The seller never sent it to me. I openned a dispute against seller through PayPal.

Recieved Ipod and it was below my satisfaction. On description it said it had sum scrathes on back panal only, when I recieved it it had stained scratches over entire ipod front and back. Recieved ipod in a shoe box with no ear phones or charger cord. I f I had to do over again I would not buy would go straight to buy from store.

I purchased this item thinking that I was purchasing an APPLE iPod Nano. Not what I received at all. This item was an imitation MP3/MP4 player. I was unable to return this item to the seller and I was unable to get my money back from Paypal. Please do not waste your time, energy, or money on purchasing an "iPod" for this seller. It's nothing but a scheme and joke.

Ipod nano is the best thing to happen to happen to digital music since the iPod itself. I bought this in hopes to have the next cool thing out there, ( i had a mini before and sold it to buy a nano because i didn't have 1000 songs and i wanted to have pictures)

When i first got it it was GREAT, i plugged it in and all the sudden within about ten minutes it was updated with the latest software and it had all my music and pictures on it. Then things went bad.

I was going on a trip that day and when i was back i noticed my iPod nano was scratched. it had not been abused, or even near something that could have scratched it. Go to any store with one on display and you'll see that pretty much whenever you touch it it scratches. YOU MUST BUY A SKIN AND SCREEN PROTECTORS OR IT WILL BE SCRATCHED UP LIKE AN OLD RECORD!

Because the screen is just under the plastic that covers the front of the nano the whole screen is very vulnerable to scartches and smudges which are very hard to get off on this certain plastic.

Positives:

small and sleek

holds all the music most people need

is great if you want pictures but not video

in my opinion sound quality is pretty good.


Negatives:

More Fragile Than a glass ornament

screen is too small for pictures

apple's customer support is really bad

no wall charger, a big problem for those of us that can't get to our usb ports easily on our cpu.


if you are looking for a great toy buy a psp. if you are looking for a mp3 player, try something else. if you must have this, get a knight's armour!

I purchased this Ipod before Christmas, and it was stated that it was refurbished, like new condition, 30 day guarantee. It will not charge, or turn on. What a joke. I contacted the seller (Dyscern) and have gotten nothing but a run around. They have no intention of fixing my problem or giving me a refund! I should have went to WalMart and purchased a new one for a little more money. I wasted $90. Please do not buy any of these that are used. THEY ARE JUNK!!!!

I won the auction, and after couple of days tryied to contact seller via different emails. I didn't get any feedback. So I marked this product as payment made and even then I didn't get any message from this seller.

So anyone who will try to buy something from this seller DON'T BUY!

I decided to buy this because it was cheap. $60 for a 4GB mp3 player is a good deal. It shipped fairly quickly and works fine. Buttons have a bit of wear, but the model itself is a few years old so its expected. Overall good product. =]

Never recived the iPod was told the seller was banned from ebay. The money was never taken out of my pay pal account so I',m happy about that just wish I had more warning about the seller being banned.

Got taken by a crooked seller. Be careful with ipod sellers. Tried to buy from 3 different venders one was legitimate. Don't buy I-pods from E-bay, buy from legitimate companys save yourself the headache and heartache. Accessories same story. Beside this issue with Ipods in general, I have had an excelient time with E-Bay.

It was a fake, and it took 2 months to get my money back from paypal, even though ebay notified me the day the order closed that there was a problem with the seller

I was sent a fake one from a seller on ebay from hong kong. We paid for 2 but only got 1 and didnt get a refund from paypay because they said the seller had proof of shipment. what a bunch of crap and a waist of money. Buyers Beware. Paypal isnt what it is cracked up to be.

I chose it because it offered something my son really wanted, but at a good price. The price wasn't so ridiculously low that I would immediately be suspicious, either. When we got it (it took longer than I expected), I opened it and my son immediately realized that it wasn't a real iPod, the earphones weren't the right ones, the directions were ridiculous and it didn't come from Ohio (as the seller said it would). We were completely cheated- couldn't get the fake one to do anything except for we were able to put one picture on it from our PC. In other words: a HUGE disappointment!

This is a great scam. They pack some Ipod imitation mp4 player inside an original Ipod nano box. Needless to say, if you know what an Ipod is, you dont even need to take it out of the plastic wrapper to realize you got a fake.
From what I could read on the reviews for similar items like the one I got, some people got fooled by the original box and didnt realize they got screwed.

If you want a REAL Ipod. PAY FOR IT! get it on Amazon. Original. Free shipping. and when you add the cost of the item and the shipping turns out to be cheaper than Ebay! plus you get the factory warranty so you cant go wrong. Trust me. I tried Twice to get a "cheaper" Ipod on Ebay and got burned both times. I lost the shipping money and have no Ipod (oh yeah, if you get screwed YOU have to pay for the shipping to return the item. good deal huh?) Learn from my mistakes and dont buy them, however if you settle down for an exhorbitantly overpriced imitation or feel adventurous with your money, go ahead and knock yourself out!

This was a complete rip off. Though it appeared to be an iPod upon opening it was not (at least not what is sold in the US). On top of that it doesn't even work right so it now resides in a dump some where and I spent the money on the real deal.
