Apple iPod 5th Generation Black (80 GB) MP3 Player

I purchased this IPOD knowing it was used, but once we received it, there was no charger and the earbuds were broken. When I asked the seller about it, he said well, since it was posted in the selling point, I will see what I can find and send it to you. Then had the guts to ask me to pay for the shipping on it. I refused. It took him a long time to respond or send any of what I purchased to me. Then I e-mailed him telling him it only takes 1/2 charge (after I bought new charger because the one he sent doesn't work) He only responded when I sent him a bad review. Saying that I was looking for a new one, I wasn't, I knew it was used, but in his selling point it stated that it was in perfect working condition. I expected working charger, earbuds and an IPOD that fully charges. I feel that was the worst $200 I have ever spent and since I was burnt by him, I will never buy from e-bay again.

I wouldn't know because I never received the item,I paid by personal check and the seller is no longer a registered user and feel like I have got no help from ebay! I will never purchase item again that does not accept pay pal.

So far my only gripe with my iPod video is the lag between pressing the skip button to the actual playback of the song. Other wise this is a great player and if you want the room get the 80 GB. Couldn't yet get the video out to work though - I think I need the proper cable.

I purchased this item because it was stated to be like new, in excellent working condition with but a few minor scratches on it. When it arrived, it was not the same one. This one was sealed from the factory, no scratches, but defective in that there was no "Music" on the meno,so no way to access the albums, playlist, artists or any other items on the Music menu. Music can be downloaded onto it, and it plays of its own accord, just no way to access or control what you want to hear. Also, about every 20 to 30 songs, it quits in the middle of a song and goes to another.

I enjoy the flexibility of video and audio file access and usage. The product came new in the box with all the included accessories. Price and delivery were quite good as well.

well I have a couple of ipods, I like to have one just to bring out to boring events to watch videos and look at family photos. I have another ipod with just everything on it music of all kinds and stuff i don't even use much at all, plus that screen is pretty scratched up and I could not even see the screen too well to watch videos anyway. The other ipod I have is used just at parties with a lot of adult aged party music on it and nothing too wild at all; so i realy recomend getting a coupleof ipods if you have the means.

Once you get to know all the software for copying your audio and video onto this tiny entertainment machine it will become a necessity. I'm a huge music fan and have about 12,000 songs on this machine, but further to that i have many hours of video. Of course, the battery runs down much quicker with video (still get about 4 - 6 hours of video use!) it's excellent for travel. For international charging i purchased a charger/player, so i can listen via speakers while the ipod is charging.
My only problem with this machine is that it occasionally seizes and needs one of those two button resets (i can never remember which two buttons and just try them til i get it right) but it's always back to normal after that.

Works perfectly, GREAT price!, delivered in a timely manner (though I was in no rush). Slight spec on video screen (no pixels), but easy to live with.

Likes: Color screen, video playback capability, pretty good battery life, durable even though it has moving parts, looks great!

Dislikes: Limited number of codecs it can handle. It is an Apple product so I'm happy it can play more than just Apple music/video file types.

While I actually wanted a nano because of the solid state harddrive, Apple doesn't yet make a big enough one at a decent price. 80 gigs for 80 bucks? You cannot pass that up! Mine has a few scratches on it, but nothing deep! It is completely functional too! If you are looking for a music player with a good size at a great price, look no further! Well, either this generation or 6th, either one!

I`am extreamly satisfied with the Ipod and would love to have a oppertunity to buy one like this for the same amount and the ease. I would love to have this luck contin. The more I buy the more I trust the system,i`am very satisfied with the product and the description given.

Item didn't work. Evetually I got a refund through Paypal, but I had to pay return shipping. I've learned to buy such items new and spend the extra money.
I don't think seller did this intentionally, though.

The ipod was in great condition, it came with the cable and the owner left alot of great music on there too. I am very satisfied with it.

my son was looking for an ipod to listen to and to download his pic. and videos. ipod video is the best for the money and its the rite size and wieght for his hands . the ipod touch seems to have a problem with people dropping them and breaking the lcd . then again it all depends on your needs and how much you are willing to spend . my resaerch led me to the video 5.5 gen. he loves it and claims its easy to use so far no complaints

to be able to have all my music in one place that is portable and easy to use! who could ask for more!

ipod , ipod mmmm well is very usefull cos you can put all what we need like for example if you want to show you bodys you pictures that you took when you were on vacation you can or even show them the videos that you took also the music,mm what we do whitout the music . really!! now we can take the hall world in a small "box". ipod ! thank's god for the ipod.

The 5th Generation IPOD is the best of all. Main reason is that you are able to send video and audio out of the port connector. You can use any 3rd party cable to plug it into any TV with RCA connection. This feature was discontinued after mainly because Apple discovered to many 3 party company were putting out viewers and cables. Too bad that the largest one you could buy is 80 gig

I bought this ipod last month.
It's no good.
It can not put musics over 15 gb.
I returned it to the seller yet.
The seller don't reply me and don't give me back my money.

Works beautifully. Perfectly described by seller, looks brand new. Thanks seller =]. Recently bought some headphones with the iPod and they works nicely.

The bundle also included a microphone to record voice memos on your iPod and I think it's a neat device =p, it also included a cool stereo system of some sort.

I must say , the seller went all out with this iPod bundle and I'm loving it kinda like Mcdonalds =].

I like the look and feel of the older Generation 5 iPod better than the newer Generation 6 versions. It is just simple and straight forward. It works, it is easy on the eyes, and is simple to understand. The newer version has too much video crap going on, and it is hard to read the songs in the lists.

I have a newer 120GB iPod Classic and I hunted down this older 80GB iPod Video so I could go back to the Generation 5 features and displays. I'll put the new one in the car and hook it to the iPod control on the car stereo and stuff it in the glove box.

Come on Apple -- a busier display and interface isn't a better one. Simplicity and an intuitive user interface is what you do best -- don't loose site of the reason you own the market.

With a large hard drive and the ability to show movies in color, the Apple Video Ipod makes PDA`s look clunky and fat. Store you movies or your next calendar meeting or just take all of your home photos with you, not to mention all of your music too. All around I would say the Ipod video is without a doubt the best in its class.
