At a 160Kbps compression rate, 10GB equals approximately 2,000 songs, or about 200 CDs. At lower-quality 128Kbps - the most common compression rate used for MP3s - 10GB is equivalent to approximately 2,600 songs, or about 260 CDs. Who knows, you might also find yourself storing documents, files and applications on your iPod in FireWire disk mode.

    This was a gift for my Birthday and I have to tell you I am very pleased. It has great sound and doesn't feel like if you accidently drop it it will shatter into a thousnad pieces. All in all I give this 5 stars!
