I bought this dvd because my son is a space nut and this is his favorite movie. This two disc dvd set is amazing. Not only does it provide the original movie, but it also provides the Imax version and bonus materials. There are several interviews with the actual people involved in the Apollo 13 mission including Jim Lovell, Fred Haise, and Gene Kranz. You can actually watch the film with Jim and Marilyn Lovell commentating. There is also a special feature that shows the making of the movie and how they created the realistic looking shots that make it so amazing to watch. It has given me a whole new appreciation for space flight and what the crew of Apollo 13 went through. I would definitely encourage anyone remotely interested in space flight to purchase this dvd set.
