THE BOOK DOES NOT REVEIW MARBLES, THAT THE COMMON PERSON WOULD EVERY SEE. THE BOOK IS USELESS TO ME !!!!!! IT DOES NOT HAVE GOOD PICTURES IN IT!

I THOUGHT THIS WOULD COME HANDY WHEN I GET A CHANCE TO SORT MY MARBLES
I COLLECTED THEM OVER 25 YEARS AS THEY ARE PRETTY TO LOOK AT AND PERHAPS ONE
OR TWO. AS THEY LOOK VERY OLD, WOULD HAVE SOME INTRINSIC VALUE....

I don't know much about marbles so this book was a really great help. I purchased a box of marbles and had no idea what I had and don't know anyone who knows anything about marbles, so I checked ebay and was happy to find this book.

I like the fact this book is set up easy enough to relate to, most marble price and identification guides are not so easy to follow exspecially when your new and unfamiliar with certain marble features and certain manufacturers, thus making it very difficult to follow, however it is mostly german marbles its in reference to, not very many photos of any other type or info of any other types of marbles. Ok for german marble collectors, and sellers, not so great if your seeking other types of marble identification information.
I decided to buy this book as another possible source to help me learn about marbles, identifying them is the hardest part when you are new to the whole vintage and antique marble collecting world, trying to sell marbles on the otherhand and not knowing anything about them is even harder. all in all it doesnt hurt to have as many refrence books or material as possible concerning any item your interested in buying or selling.
