I've seen this book once back in the mid 70's, when I got into fishing. Then I started to collect old Hawaiian style fishing rods and old vintage reels. So the book become a must have item.
It tell's about the function, patents, and how to grade thier value as to the condition of the reel.
There is nothing to dislike about this book.

Although this is a new book it is over 8 years old and was a disappointment to my wife and I. Our main purpose in purchasing the book was to evaluate the value of our antique fishing reels. The book is useful to identify the reels but gives an outdated value. If I had known the age of the book I would not have purchased it. It is misleading.
