) I had always heard and read positive reviews about Anthony Gomes and band so I promised myself the next time he's in the area I'd go and see for myself. I bought the cd and received a week prior to my first Gomes show. Fantastic musical and vocal talent. I am more psyched than ever now to see them play this Saturday than I have for any group for quite some time. If you love electric blues with some funky rock here and there this is a must have. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this cd.

) I was priviledged to see Anthony Gomes perform and record this CD. I was unable to buy the CD then and really wanted a reminder of what a dynamic artist Anthony is to the live Blues scene. This is an excellent example of how charismatic he is on stage. This man and his band really love playing the Blues and you can tell it from this fun to listen to recording. If you haven't experienced Anthony Gomes' music style, now is your chance. You won't regret adding this brand of music to your collection.

If you're ready for something different, check out this CD! Anthony Gomes has a fresh sound that is solid rockin' blues rock with the flavors of soul, funk, and country in the mix. This much anticipated CD reflects the energy and excitement of his live performances. It contains some of the best guitar playing you’ve ever heard, and his band are among the most vibrant musicians around. My favorites on this disc are "Bluebird," "Falling," and "Wings of a Song."

Finally--a CD that showcases the powerhouse of talent that is Anthony Gomes!
I was lucky enough to have my first introduction to Anthony Gomes at a live show and, though his previously released CDs have all been amazing, no studio recording has ever been able to capture the magnitude of talent, heartfelt emotional connection to his music, and extreme spiritual experience one receives at the live show. Now, with the release of LIVE, fans can take the musical perfection of Anthony Gomes on stage right along with them. It's the best of both worlds- the live show we love, in travel form!
Those who were at the Settle show where the CD was recorded can relive that magical night, while the rest of us can only wish we had been there to experience musical history being made. And we can ALL count down the hours until we are next able to see Anthony Gomes & The New Soul Cowboys live again!

LIVE is ALIVE!As many of us had hoped... The LIVE album from Anthony has finally come. For those who have followed Anthony Gomes over the years know this CD is just like every show he plays. It's Foot stompin', toe tappin', and booty shakin' to say the least. From the intro to the encore the energy is just amazing...

This CD Will Get You Move'n..!Few artist can capture a live show and then repeat it over and over again with more energy and mojo everytime. This CD rocks and is one of the best live CD's in my collection. I have seen Anthony's show three times now and they all rocked. Now I can listen to the CD and see the set unfolding in my mind anytime I want. Great job to Anthony and the New Soul Cowboys. This is music is both soulful and powerful and can listened to over and over again.

Buy the CD to learnAnyone who has ever seen Anthony Gomes "live" can attest it's a heart pounding, foot stomping, full energy, gut wrenching, rock your soul, musical experience. His new release entitled "LIVE" is all that; it grabs you from the very beginning and delivers the power behind the Anthony Gomes experience. The CD starts out with the crowd hootin and hollerin and ends with them yelling "more, we want more!" As with any Anthony Gomes CD this one holds true to his amazing, sizzling, guitar wizardry and makes you feel as though you're listening to him LIVE.
There are 12 cuts on this CD. I have two favorites on this CD ... cut six "When the Right Women Does You Wrong" is one of those which will silence any doubter that Anthony that can sing and play the blues. Listen closely as this showcases Anthony vocals and guitar wizardry like no other. It touches my bluesin, gypsy soul to its very core. One cannot listen to this song without feeling the depths of Anthony's soul! "It's raining, raining, raining in my heart, it's raining in my soul ... right woman ... I'm about to lose control" which is exactly what he does, loses control! He wails on the guitar and makes it sing like only Anthony can. This song is worth the price of this CD alone!
"Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country" an excerpt from JFK starts cut eight "War on War." I love what the lyrics stand for on this song ... "It's time to stand up and declare War, War on War ... I'm talking about a revolution, a soul solution, something worth fighting for ... War on War!" As Anthony declares the song is not about War rather a spiritual journey of freedom and love. I'm ready to a "soul solution" are you?
Cut nine "Won't Let You Down" is a song that has never been released until this CD but has always been a show stopper at many live shows; it's a song about not letting your parents down ... about trying to do the best we can do as we journey through our lives ... it's a real tear jerker.
My other favorite is the last cut of the CD entitled "Testify" and that's exactly what you will do when you hear this song. It starts out with some more of Anthony's magic guitar wizardry then goes into the first lyric of "Kick the doors open let the party begin," need he sing more? This is a high energy, high voltage song and will get you up out of your chair to start dancing.
As the song "Testify" declares "Soul power will make your body move" and this CD is chalk full of it!
