Anne Willan has written many, many cookbooks, and so far I haven't stumbled upon any that I haven't liked, nor ended up purchasing. Her books are well written, easy to follow, and recipes are thorough and concise. She offers step-by-step photo guidelines (great photography) with each recipe, as well as tips and guidelines for correcting recipes "that don't quite turn out as planned". Good book for both beginners and seasoned cooks. Very worthwhile cookbooks to add to a serious cook's collection or give as gifts to friends who like to cook.

The book was in excellent condition and was packaged extremely well-- bubble wrap on all sides and cardboard to keep the book from being dented or roughed up. Excellent.

I purchased this book because I had another one by the same author. I thought this book was well written and the illustrations were very helpful. The only thing I disliked was the food choices that the author decided to cook. Most of the recipes did not use everyday ingredients and for me, that is somewhat of a problem because I live in a very small town with limited grocery access.
