Animusic 2: A New Computer Animation Video Album (DVD, 2006)

The first animusic was very interesting and even my grandson loves to watch it. It seems to have much more personality than this one. I would like to see more creative things done as in the first, for example water droplets or bubbles in the music content.

Animusic 2 is a lot of fun. It is facinating to watch these inanimate objects come to life and make music right before your eyes. I can't wait for animusic 3.

I bought this to expose high school art students to high level animation. I showed the DVD as a way to discuss current trends in animation and that it is an exciting field of study for art enthusiasts. Students in Grades 9-12 loved it and many have asked me to show it again in a few months. I plan to do so.

The people who created the Animusic and Animusic 2 DVD's are indeed master artists of visual aspects as well as audio. A sculptor looks at a block of rock and creates a masterpiece scupture; an artist looks at a blank canvas and creates a masterpiece painting. These masters looked at a computer screen and creating the visual, audio and timing of their own masterpiece. Now, I have to wait in anticipation for their new version to be produced in 3-D!!!

My nephew just loves watching this over and over again, it is so fun to watch and listen to. He is just 3 and he is so totally mesmerized by this dvd.

great dvd! has very cool animation and awesome music!!! it also has cool special features. this has not only great music, but it is also a great visual entertainer!

I bought this DVD as a gift. I had never heard of it, but it was a request from my grandson. When I asked him if he liked the DVD, he said "I love it." He is 7 years old, by the way. So - my gift was a hit, therefore I rate it as excellent.

This is one of those animations you will be sitting in front of until the very end. I bought it for my 17 month old Grandson and he sits and watches it every time he comes over. The animated instruments are so beautifully done and the music keeps your attention.
A must have for children ( and some adults too.)
I plan on buying the first one and some other instrumental groups as well such as The Blue Man group.
Animusic 2 will take you to a whole new beautiful world of animated music.

After watching the first Animusic DVD, this was a must have for me. This guy is a genius at creating computer animated instruments and converting them into an entertaining, quality audio and visual experience. If you love to watch music on Tivo, you'll love this animated music video.

didn't feel it was as good as Animusic 1. Maybe the novelity has worn off. Still, it makes nice background music while reading the paper.

I purchased this DVD for my 6 year old son and he loves it!! He will watch over and over again, also he takes it along to watch in our truck when we go anywhere - even short trips. Even a friend of his that comes over for play dates requests watching it. So I guess they'll both be receiving Animusic 1 for their upcoming birthdays! Just hope it's as good as Animusic 2!!

The DVD of Animusic-2 is best described as an extremely beautiful work of CGI digital art. It's engrossing, and will mesmerize most folk; even those who "tsk-tsk" that computer animation is encroaching or supplanting "traditional" hand rendered art.

The work is cutting edge. Animusic is created by the team of Wayne Lytle (Producer/director)and David crognale (digital artist), and of course the immense help and assistance of many talented folk in music, visual arts, and the "behind the scenes" workers, (far too many to mention.)

Animusic I came across in watching PBS pledge drives and programming. The DVDs are made available to pledge members, and also sold online Ebay stores like Odd Banana. (Believe me, I tried looking for these at Walmart, but could never accurately describe it or find it as "just" a DVD or music CD. Animusic is in itself a brand new catagory of entertainment.

Much like the "traditional" Fantasia-style animation of Disney,(although best comparable as a 21st century "peer"), Animusic-2 has eight eye riveting musical features. It is very rhythmic, with a Classical music to New Age rock feel. The CGI worlds herein is as close to 3-d as you can on a flat 2-d screen, and will make you awed at the intricate process/work involved with this "eye candy" of realistic musical-robots, and motion with light effect. (Even simple balls bouncing on instruments are timed to "create" music.) The bigger your flat panel TV, the better to take it all in.

Credit should also be given to the real musicians (or techno-electronic artists) generating the music-to-visual effects. Much of the music is actually of traditional music-hall instrumentation: Drums, guitars, violins and deep bass string, and wood winds to pipe organs. If you have an ear for such musician/composers as Vangelis, Tomita or Kitaro, there's a bit of that electronic play, too.

I found myself enraptured by the visuals, while the musical beat kept me on the move. This work of art (I have yet to see the 1st, original Animusic), would appeal to any music fan, toddler to great grand-parents. (My cats even enjoyed watching.)

My sole "complaint" is the DVD seemed too short. The adage "Leave 'em wanting more" is definitely in play, and I hope the folks behind this creation of Animusic will provide us even more such beautiful work in the future.

Animusic is a refreshing soul enlightening work. In my opinion, this is a treat that computer animation is best created for.

I have never watched something that was so engrossing yet calming. The music is wonderful and the colors are spectacular. There is so much to watch, you cannot see it all in one sitting. This is a great piece for the whole family to enjoy. I love this video!

Fun to watch, enjoyed the special features of the dvd. Especially like the "pogo-sticks" and cathedral.

This animated music video is outstanding. If you like something different to amuse and wonder how they did this, you will be very happy. It's great entertainment

an amazing video of music. everyone should view it. Its totally amazing to view and imagine the amount of time that was required to produce the amazing music.

This DVD is an improvement on the original. It has 8 different videos, and are done without repeating too much. I am a music teacher and I use these to reward the students. I appreciate their brevity so I can show one at the end of the class without too much time left!
