Animals on the Other Side by Chris Dufresne, Kat Shehata, Sylvia Browne (2005, Hardcover)

I bought this book, after the loss of our, beloved, cat Normie. It was very easy to read, and very colorfully illustrated. It is an easy book to read, whether you are a child or an adult. It gave me a sense of peace knowing that my pets will be "at home" in heaven, waiting for us. It talks about the communication that we have with our animals while they are on earth, and after, we meet them again in heaven. It is a wonderful book, especially, if you are grieving the loss of a pet, and wondering what happens after their death. I highly, recommend the book!

Sylvia Browne has come up with fantasy and managed to pawn it off on alot of uninformed people as truth. She quotes the Bible, but totally twists the meaning of what the Bible says. She does not believe that Jesus died on the cross so that we can have eternal life. How can she talk about animals, when so much of her stuff is false.

Her words about Jesus are a insult. She believes in multiple gods.

Also the problem with Sylvia is she has made many predictions of what would happen in some of her other books and in some cases of what has already happened and they have turned out to be false.

I have read many of her books. I think she is sincere in what she says, because she says she gets her information from a spirit named Francine. However either Francine either doesn't know what is really going on, or she is a deceiving spirit. In other words, I along with many other people think Sylvia's "spirit, Francine" is a evil spirit or demon.

Read the story about the missing child Shawn Hornbeck that she said was dead and he turned up alive in 2007. How do you think the parents of Shawn felt when she told them he was dead? Sylvia charges $700.00 a session and has said that when she is home sometimes she does 20 sessions a day. She is raking in millions a year from gullible people with worthless predictions for them.


She is a pyschic and the Bible clearly states to stay away from pyschics and mediums. She mixes a little truth with alot of falsehood and outright lies. She believes in reincarnation, which the Bible does not teach.

A book that exposes the New Age, that I recommend is by Johanna Michaelsen. Her book "The beautiful Side of Evil and "Like Lambs to the Slaughter", expose alot of these lies.

I pray for Slvia Browne, because I know God loves her and everyone, but He doesn't want any of us to be deceived and that is what she is doing.

I purchased this Sylvia Browne book because it is months after a book comes out before I can buy it in this area and my mother loves Sylvia Browne.
She was thrilled to be able to buy it now after just hearing about it on tv.

A sweet book geared towards children and big lovers of animals (of which I am one!) It explains what happens to the animals we so loved here on earth who have passed on. It's comforting to anyone who has lost a beloved pet!

I love Sylvia Browne and have wanted to buy this book for a long time. Am glad I got it and as always prefer to buy through Ebay. I like everything about it.

L like to read Sylvia Browne's books.It answered some questions on animals to me it just was not long enough. But I did really enjoy the book.Thank You!

I bought this book becuase a beloved family member of ours was hit by a car and passed away(our pit bull Nash ). My 8 year old daughter was having a difficult time dealing with her death. She had alot of questions about where Nash is now and if we will ever see her again. I knew Sylvia Browne and her son wrote a book for children about what happens to their pets when they die. My family sat down together and read the book out loud. It was very comforting to read. My daughter loved the pictures, she said she felt better because she knew where her dog was and that she was happy. I as an adult would like to believe that I will see my pets again. They truely are a big part of the family. I would definitely recommend reading this book if you are grieving over the loss of a pet.

I have been an animal lover all my life and have lost several animals. I have always worried about whether animals went to heaven or not because I have heard several people say that they don't go to heaven. About four years ago we lost our 20-year-old Boston Terrier. My husband and I were both devastated because he was more like a person than an animal. In May I lost my husband and I was so hoping that our dog would be in heaven waiting on him. I saw this book and I love and trust Sylvia Browne so I just had to read it. I read it and I now believe that my husband and our dog are together. About two months after my husband passed I lost our last Boston Terrier and my five-year-old grandson said that, "Pappaw must have wanted to see Muffin and that she is in heaven with him now." This book brought a lot of peace to my life and I think it is a great book for adults and children.

I do like to read Sylvia Browne's books, However this book was to short for the expense. It is a nice book for a gift if someone you know has lost a pet.

The book had really nice illustrations....I feel that they did not a good enough job on the content and wished that they had more effort into the book..I was pleased that they had used the book's profits to go to charity...other than that if I knew about the book before hand ...I would have never wasted my money purchasing this book.

I am an avid Sylvia Browne reader. When I ordered "Animals from the Other Side", I was surprised to find it was mostly geared toward children. However, after reading and seeing the great illustrations, I realized this is the perfect book for anyone who has recently lost a beloved pet.

Adults and children reading this book together help give a "feel good" attitude and acceptance in knowing your pet is truly safe, happy and they will see you again. I highly recommend this book for children. It helps to explain the circle of life and the natural process and what a wonderful feeling it could be if you were to truly believe you will meet your "loved one" again!

This book was recommended to me by a friend whose beloved dog had recently died. She and her husband had found it comforting.

My husband took the book to the SPCA griefshare, where he volunteers. The psychologist there liked the book also and planned to get a copy.

The only thing I would caution about is that the authors, Sylvia Browne and her son, Chris Dufresne, list their psychic gifts as credentials. This is not so obvious in the book, itself, but is part of their biographical information.

Some readers may find this disquieting.

I was surprised when I read this as I wasn't aware it was a childrens book, I was expecting a typical Sylvia Brown book, still a great book, just isn't very deep!! Has some interesting information though....!

it was an xmas present for my wife she loves sylvia browne, i loved everything about it and so did she. i was dissappointed because the auction led me to believe th signatures were real but they were fake.

I decided to buy this book when my dog Iris passed after having her for 10 years. Losing an animal is exactly the same as losing a family member because that's what they are. This book not only has beautiful pictures but also gives reassurance that you will be reunited with your loved ones when you pass. I found this book to be very comforting even though it seems to be geared towards children. I recommend this book to anyone who is dealing with the pain of losing their best friend.
