Publisher's Note
A farm is taken over by its overworked, mistreated animals. With flaming idealism and stirring slogans, they set out to create a paradise of progress, justice, and equality. Thus the stage is set for one of the most telling satiric fables ever penned--a razor-edged fairy tale for grown-ups that records the evolution from revolution against tyranny to a totalitarianism just as terrible. Available in April.

Industry Reviews
"'Animal Farm' is a wise, compassionate and illuminating fable for our times."
New York Times Book Review - Arthur M. Schlesinger (08/25/1946)

"Beautiful...graced by bracingly savage Ralph Steadman illustrations....a reissue made all the more timely by the current crisis in the former Soviet Union."
Rosenbaum

I personally didnt like the story that much. So-So

Honestly, and this is my opinion, i thought that the book would have been better if it was written straight out, with real people, and not told through animals. I just think it is a little bit ridiculous, but then again, in Russia back then, you could not even talk one bad thing about the Russian government, or your head would be on the chopping block.
Anyways, i would almost give it 4 stars, but i just didnt think it reached quite that level for me. It's a short book so you could decide for yourself within a few days if you thought it was good.
I did learn a bit about communism and Russia, which i liked a lot.
