Movie Description
WHERE ANGELS FEAR TO TREAD: Adaptation of E.M. Forster's first novel, written in 1905, about a middle-aged English widow, Lilia Herriton, who shocks her very repressed, proper, and dull in-laws by marrying a young local she meets while vacationing in the Italian countryside. Tragedy strikes and her relatives plot to bring her young child to England for a "proper" upbringing.


THE WINTER GUEST: A dense, filling slice-of-life set in a tiny snowbound Scottish burg, where four pairs of characters grapple with various aspects of human hardship. Emma Thompson plays opposite Phyllida Law, her actual mother, as a recently widowed photographer whose haze of grief has driven a wedge into their relationship.


EAT THE RICH: A motley group of outrageous social outcasts wages a no-holds-barred class war against London's jet set.
