Angel - Season 1 (DVD, 2003, 6-Disc Set)

I am a huge Angel/Buffy fan. i am trying to collect all the seasons on dvd. this would be my first of Angel. I payed for this item via paypal about a month or so ago and still havent recieved anything. the seller will not respond.

As usual, Joss Whedon delivers an outstanding product. It's filled with commentaries that enhance the experience. It's also nice to have part of Glenn Quinn's (Doyle) last works.

Angel was and always will be one of my favorites to watch. Like excitement it brings and also the different charactors it involves...

i decided to buy the whole entire seasons of angel series--- these can be seen over and over again--i have the entire collection now and will be starting on buffy vampire slayer series now

The Angel Spin off of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, stands on its own. This first season introduces new characters Doyle, Charles Gun and the evil law firm of Wolfram and Hart. It also brings some old Buffy favorites into the mix such as Cordelia and Faith's ex watcher Wesley who now calls himself a rogue demon hunter, as series regulars. There are even some visits from Buffy, Spike, Faith and Oz on the first season. I only gave it a good because the second season blows it out of the water. The first season seemed to only loosely link each episode together, instead of the serial format of Buffy. Angel's second season becomes more of a serial. But for a spin off of one of the most beloved vampire shows ever, Angel entertains pretty well on its own.

I really liked this series because it gives a fresh look the vampire genre. It allows to cheer for what is supposed to be a bad guy but is really a great hero. Each episode really grabs your attention and leaves you wanting more. I plan to buy the rest of the series.

Angel was a favorite of mine on the Buffy series. The DVD set lets me pick and choose my favorite episode whenever I want. The show is very engrossing and always interesting to watch. I am always searching for some entertainment that keeps my attention and I always find it in this show. The writer's imaginations make the program difficult to match. Always fresh and new. I like the plots that continue to the next episode and now I don't have to wait to find out what happens. Highly recommended. Always enjoyable.

Took awhile to arrive. There was no notice that my order shipped and it took a while to get. Condition as described.

This is one of my favorite shows. The first season is one that I enjoy watching over and over. I was able to find it on ebay for a good price.

Angel is a spin-off of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

as "Angel" and "Cordelia". A few episodes into the season
Glenn Quinn joins the cast as "Doyle" the Irish, 1/2 man 1/2 demon,
who receives visions from the Powers That Be to help Angel right his past wrongs. Doyle immediatley falls head over heels for Cordelia.
When Doyle saves Cordy from a vampire she decides that she might like Doyle-but then his estranged wife visits. After they divorce, Cordelia and Doyle
begin to get closer. When the "Scourge" comes into town to have a mass
killing of the demons that aren't pureblood demon,
Doyle gives his life to save everyone else.
But about a minute before he dies Doyle kisses Cordelia.
He had given her the most important thing he had in the world.

I loved this show while it was on the air and I set about collecting them. This particular one was in great condition.

great cast !!! awesome story line !!! keeps you stuck to the edge of your seat when its over you cant wait to see what happens A MUST SEE SERIES!!

Love this season of Angel. We you like good vampires then you will love to watch angel. It's a good season 1 and should watch all 5 seasons too.

I was a big fan of buffy the vampire slayer when it was on channel 11 for 5 years, and then the last 2 years when it was picked up by upn (channel 9). Angel was a major player on there for 3 years. I was extremely pissed when he decided to leave Sunnydale and the show. I was not surprised when he wound up getting his own show. Him getting his own show gave me as a viewer to learn more about him, that didn't get uncovered while he was on buffy.

I loved Buffy The Vampire Slayer and liked Angels character on the show. I hated to see him leave. So I decided to buy the seasons of Angel. I love it! It shows more about Angel's past and shows him slowly trying to build a life in L.A. Alot of action and alot of humor! GREAT SHOW!!!

Great spin off from the Buffy seasons. I should have watched thesse in order before finishing the Buffy series.

I love the show Angel. I bought this item because the price was good and the product was said to be in great condition. Buying with Ebay is convenient, great prices, and comes straight to you! The item came quick and in good condition like promised!

I'm a huge fan of Buffy, but I had been hesitant at first to watch Angel's show. I liked her and Angel together, but I had found their relationship pretty tedious by the time he left. So I didn't know how I would feel about Angel's show - but I loved it!! Angel is so much more likable without Buffy, he seems less broody and Cordelia and Doyle were hilarious! This show really made me come to appreciate Cordelia's character. Overall, I would say this was like the early seasons of Buffy - really good and definitely worth watching.

I like that the series is so original, and well written. I an sad that it went off the air, but good things can never last.

My wife enjoys the T.V. show Angel. So she wanted she wanted to start for the first season. Angel is a good adventer story as T.V. show go.

After being a fan of "Buffy" I guess I expected a little more from this series. Once you get accustomed to the writers on this show you get interested. I loved the idea that so many characters from "Buffy" showed up in this season to give the show its proper start.
I enjoy the idea that my 8 year old can watch it and he and I discuss the choices that some of the characters make. All in all I rather enjoyed the show and actually look forward to the next season.

I've been a big fan of Buffy The Vampire Slayer for years and finished the 7th season earlier this year. I was excited to start on season 1 of Angel and it proved to be worth the wait. Would highly recommend to anyone that likes entertainment and suspense when watching a show.
