Andy Summers - Guitar (DVD, 2006)

Informative, and well put together - always knew he was a fab player, but watching him up close is certainly a treat.

Sound and picture quality very good; well recorded.

However, like all these Hotlicks guitar thingys, if you are not the most experienced player you may be intimidated. But, there is enough here to get even the most novice player excited about guitar playing, its mechanics, and how truly great players see, love and 'feel' the instrument.

Recommend it highly - a 'must get' for anyone even remotely interested in the guitar.

I purchased this dvd after recently meeting Andy Summers again at a book signing in New York in October of this year (2006). Before the book signing he spoke of the dvd he had on teaching guitar. I needed a gift for someone taking guitar lessons so I went to e-bay first and it was there for a great price. It took seconds to purchase and a few days for delivery. Why go anywhere else! As far as a review of the product itself - my friend says it is fantastic. Andy Summers is one of the greatest guitar players alive he is in the guitar hall of fame. How lucky to have Andy Summers in your home teaching you guitar.
